Spirit on the Move in Our Nation

The Spirit of God continues to move in powerful ways across the USA, especially among Gen Z. In addition to our recent reports from Florida, Texas, California, high schools and Eleven22, God has also been moving in a mighty way here:

• ALABAMA: On April 8, “God moved at Samford University where thousands of college students gathered for a powerful night of worship. So many students were set free from years of unforgiveness, secret sin and addiction. The testimonies are pouring in. We baptized students until after midnight! To God be the glory!” said the founder of UniteUS, Tonya Prewett, on Instagram. This event follows a powerful move of the Spirit in 2023, when a student stepped into Reid Chapel to worship the Lord at the piano. Others passing by who heard the music came in, and soon some 200 students were worshipping together with him, sharing their testimonies, praying and singing to the Lord through the night.
• OKLAHOMA: On April 28, about 5,500 Oklahoma State University students gathered for worship and prayer led by UniteUS. Hundreds stepped forward to dedicate their lives to Jesus.
• PENNSYLVANIA: Nearly 5,000 University of Pittsburg students showed up for a UniteUS event March 25 to worship God and hear the gospel. Hundreds chose to follow Jesus and asked to be baptized in the back of pickup trucks well past midnight. Many students were healed and other miracles were reported that night. At an Awake America event in September last year, “over 600 students and athletes gathered at the University of Pittsburgh for Pitt for Jesus, where the Gospel of Jesus Christ was boldly proclaimed. Student–athletes from Pitt Purpose led with prayer and testimony—65+ surrendered their lives to Christ and 80 were baptized. In a generation hungry for truth, the Holy Spirit is moving with power, breaking chains of addiction and calling Gen Z to follow Jesus.⁠“
• GEORGIA: On March 1, Bethlehem Church had planned to baptize 13 people, but the Holy Spirit quickly turned it into 400 across three campuses! The church is known for its dedication to ministering through discipleship, small groups and personal ministry. They baptized 600 throughout last year.
• MISSISSIPPI: “Mississippi Baptist churches recorded 9,299 baptisms in 2025—the highest in nearly a decade. Even more striking: over half are from the next generation.⁠ This isn’t just a statistic. It’s a sign.⁠ Hearts are turning back. Churches are pressing forward. The Gospel is bearing fruit again,” wrote Awake America on Instagram (April 21)
• SOUTH CAROLINA: At a UniteUS event at Clemson University in November, 6,000 students gathered for worship, prayer and preaching. Hundreds surrendered their lives to Jesus and 78 were baptized.
• VIRGINIA: Liberty University has frequently been experiencing large-scale gatherings of thousands of students, 24-hour worship events and prayer movements.
• ARIZONA: The University of Arizona has been experiencing a surge in student-led worship events, prayer vigils, and large-scale Christian rallies.
• ILLINOIS: A Jesus March with thousands in attendance has been held annually in Chicago, where the gospel is preached, and many are baptized. Let Us Worship and other revival events have also helped spark spiritual awakening.

• August 13-14: Revival Fire Crusade in Prince George’s Stadium, Bowie, Maryland
• August 15: America 250 Roots of Revival in Virginia Beach, Virginia
• August 29: March for Jesus at City Hall Plaza, Boston, Massachusetts
• August 29: America 250 Roots of Revival in Missoula, Montana
• August 30: America 250 Roots of Revival in Boise, Idaho
• August 31: America 250 Roots of Revival in Yakima, Washington
• September 5: Let Us Worship in Kelowna, California
• October 31: America 250 Roots of Revival in Baton Rouge, Louisiana
• November 15: America 250 Roots of Revival in West Palm Beach, Florida

Father God, please spark a hunger for You in the heart of every lost person in our nation. Make that hunger so intense they will seek You with all their hearts and find You. Bring them into churches who will love them and share with them the good news about Jesus in a way they can easily understand. And save them, Lord. Set our churches on fire for You. Anoint every pastor, every Bible study teacher, every worship leader, every believer in Christ. Make us bold witnesses for You, empowered by Your Holy Spirit to draw others into Your kingdom. Make every believer a discipler who is also discipled. Raise up mentors to help others walk through the hard knocks but still stand firm and all the stronger in faith, love, surrender to You, peace, joy, hope and faithfulness. Teach us to not only know Your Word, but live it, every moment of every day fully surrendered to You. Open our arms wide to reach out to the lost, the lonely, the hurting, and invite them in. Ignite usA with passion for You and for Your Word. Set us free from the chains that have bound us to anxiety, fear, depression, social media, addictions, pornography and other strongholds. Tear down every wall that blocks us from oneness with You, and draw us all the nearer to You daily. When we read the Bible, pray, worship You, and even as we go about our day, meet us in powerful ways. Carry us through every trial. Transform us so dramatically by Your grace and love others around us can see the difference and want to know You, too. Show us the paths You have for us and guide us through. Set us on fire with passion for You, until we surrender every corner of our lives to You. And use us for Your glory.

For the upcoming events, bring the spiritually hungry, the lost, the lonely, the backslidden and those from all walks of life. Draw them up into such a flood of Your grace, they will give in to Your love and receive Your salvation. Raise up a generation of missionaries, evangelists and Christian couples who know the Word of God and live it, who will not only preach the good news but demonstrate Your love and truth in such powerful ways the lost won’t be able to resist You.
