A plan to target Sunday’s White House Ultimate Fighting Championship event with explosive drones and sniper fire was thwarted by the FBI, thanks to a brave mother, who called authorities late June 10 concerned about her son Tycen’s purchase of large firearms. (Ana Faguy, BBC, Jun 17) The UFC event drew about 4,300 spectators on the South Lawn and another 85,000 who watched from nearby.
Lord, we praise You for all these lives saved and for this mother’s wisdom and courage. Please convict of suspect Tycen C Proper, 19, Bryan Omar Roa, 24, Michael Alan Thomas, 32, Daniel K Eskridge, 32, and Abraham Hermosillo Alvarez, 31. and anyone else involved in this plot of their sin. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see Jesus as He truly is. Meet them in such powerful ways, they will be moved by fear of the Lord, repent and be saved.
In Southern California, during Operation Firewall, 40 children were rescued, including a 1-year-old, and 341 suspects of child exploitation and sex crimes were arrested April 19-May 3.
Thank You, Lord, for rescuing these children. Please heal them from the trauma they have experienced. Draw them up into Your arms and pour out Your love over them. Bring Christians to care for them and help them to healing. Show these children Your plan for their salvation. Meet each of their abusers in such powerful ways, they will fall to their knees in fear of the Lord, repent of their crimes and choose to surrender their lives to Jesus.
Sudden high winds toppled the tent where East Lake Community Church celebrated its 20th anniversary in Moneta, Virginia Friday. Bob Stouffer, a longtime member of the church community, died and 22 others were injured, 11 of those hospitalized.
Lord, please comfort Bob’s family and this church community who loved him. Heal those who are injured, and strengthen the faith of every survivor. Grow this church all the more, and use this tragedy to draw all the more people into Your kingdom.
Eleven skydivers and a pilot died in a plane crash in Butler, Missouri Sunday. Then on Monday, eight crew members on a B-52 bomber test mission died Monday when the military plane crashed in Southern California. On Tuesday night, a business jet carrying six people crashed on the Loop 20 highway near the Mexico border in Laredo, Texas, killing one.
Father God, please be with the families of all those who died and heal those who were injured. Draw near to them and comfort them in their time of loss. For those who do not yet know You, give them a longing for Your love and bring Christians to them to share Your good news.
The US and Iran have signed a conditional ceasefire agreement. (See the 14-point draft here.)
God of the Nations, we ask You for a miracle. Please make the way for the people of Iran to be free and to freely seek You. Perhaps a million or more Iranians have turned to You in the midst of so much oppression in their country. Continue Your great work in every heart, especially those in authority. Meet them in their dreams at night, in visions during the day, and in many other powerful ways. Show them Your way to salvation through Jesus, and bring them to their knees in fear of the Lord and surrender to You. Cause each Hezbollah, Houthi, Hamas and Islamic State extremist to lay down their religion of hatred, violence and murder, and turn to You.

Lord, please put into place the leaders You have planned for our cities, states and nation. Bring down those bent on evil, and raise up leaders who will bless, not oppress. Most of all, meet every candidate in powerful ways, turning their eyes to You. Lead them in wisdom and love. And prepare the way even now for Your chosen candidates to win elections in the fall. Use all that’s happening in the world and in our nation to bring forth a great awakening to You in every city and heart.

Please be a Shield around homes, businesses, farms and families. Whatever trials people face, turn their eyes to You. Bring Christians quickly to the aid of those in need, and use them to shine Your light and love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
