In midterm elections this November 3, voters will decide all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives, as well as one-third of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate. In some states, local or state government leaders and agendas may also be up for vote. Let’s pray
- God will open the eyes of every voter to recognize evil and deception with true wisdom and discernment, as Heaven sees it, and move us to vote for what is right and good.
- God will raise up leaders in every position of leadership who will bless, not oppress, who will do what is right, not compromise.
- For only the laws and agendas that push back evil, protect the innocent and bring forth God’s purposes to be voted into effect.
- For every candidate, every voter, every lawmaker, every current leader to experience the Living God in such powerful ways they will turn from their agendas to seek His, and from their sin to surrender to His love and grace.
Lord, we pray for this nation. Awaken us. Revive us. Remind us of the things that matter most. And heal us. We ask You to be a Shield around those who are working for Your purposes. May every evil attack fall to the ground or bounce back to hit the enemy in the face. Lord, we are well aware that Satan is like a prowling lion ready to devour. Keep us on the alert to recognize his schemes and to do the opposite of what he wants. So many seek power only to destroy what is good and bring forth chaos. Expose politicians who have evil purposes in mind, and open the eyes of those who have been blind to see what is true, and to make wise choices that bless this nation, rather than tear it down. Rebuild us. Renew us. Restore us to You. Father, we ask You to give every heart a hunger for You so severe that we will seek You in earnest, and find You. Jeremiah 29:11-14. Restore to us the future that is good that You have planned for us and for generations yet to come. Put into place leaders who will bless, not curse; build up, not tear down; speak truth, not slander; seek You, not evil; act wisely, not foolishly. Lord, Your Word says that in the last days, evil will be more pronounced, and good will shine all the brighter because of that darkness. Make Your people shine like the stars, drawing everyone around us to You by the light of Your love in us. Daniel 12:3, Philippians 2:1-16.
