Stepping into My Role

The Lord has a very specific role for you to play in the trials of today and the days to come. Do you know what that is yet? Ask Him. What is He saying to you? Can you hear Him?

If you don’t know what He’s leading you to do yet, start here: Matthew 22:37-40 and 1 Thessalonians 5:17.

Nothing happens unless God allows it. And if He has allowed it, then He’s doing something in the midst of it.

Is this trial happening in others’ lives? How does He want you to pray for them? Is there a way He wants you to encourage them? Or help them? Ask Him.

Is this trial happening in your own life? How does He want you to draw nearer to Him so you can shine all the brighter for Him in this present darkness?

You are not called to judge and attack. Matthew 7:1-5. Nor are you called to worry. Philippians 4:4-7. You are called to LOVE and to PRAY. Step into your role, and walk as one with the One who walks with you.

Don’t just worry or boss your way through this trial. Find out what God’s doing in the midst of it, and join Him there.

Lord, please forgive us. We have worried, judged, manipulated, or buried ourselves in depression and bitterness through so many trials. But no more! Today, Lord, turn us around. Open our hearts to hear Your voice and follow Your lead. Don’t let us pull back or get so busy with our own agendas or worries we forget to listen for Your leading throughout the day. Guide us every moment. Because every moment counts right now. Position Your church to pour out Your love on those around us. So many are getting all the more desperate by the moment. Bring the hungry, the hurting, the anxious, the afraid, and yes, even the proud, to us, O Lord, at just the right moment when You have opened their minds and hearts to hear what You have to say. Then love through us and speak through us in a way they can easily understand. Press Your truth deep into our hearts, knocking down every human judgment so we can see them through Your eyes and bless them with Your love and prayers that move mountains. Set us free to throw off every sin and run after You, together as one, listening to You and following Your lead in the midst of every trial and challenge. Use us as catalysts to open the way for You to bring about a Great Awakening in this nation and throughout the world. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
