Let’s pray for families in desperate and dangerous situations across the world, torn apart by violence and death, that the Lord will meet the lost in powerful ways and save them.
DJIBOUTI: A boat to YEMEN carrying more than 300 migrants capsized just after setting sail Thursday, killing at least 139, including children. More than 80 people escaping conflict in ETHIOPIA survived, but perhaps 84 are still missing. Meanwhile, yet more war are fleeing in the opposite direction — from Yemen to Djibouti — due to escalated Houthi terrorism and conflict over the Red Sea.
ISRAEL: An unexploded Hezbollah munition that previously fell near the LEBANON border exploded during an Israeli school trip, killing one teen and wounding others.
SUDAN: An airstrike Saturday killed at least 72 artisanal miners, just one day after 41 people at a displacement camp died in a drone strike.
SOUTH KOREA: Eight people were injured, one unresponsive, after a mass knife attack at a commercial building in Incheon Tuesday.
INDIA: Youth-led Cockroach Janta Party protests over voter rolls have resulted in thousands of arrests over the past few days.
USA: Nine people died, including a pregnant woman, children and other relatives of a mass shooter who then took his own life in Erie, Pennsylvania Saturday.
Lord, please comfort those who mourn, heal those who are wounded and protect and rescue those who are in danger. Meet them in powerful ways, provide for their needs like only You can, and draw them to Yourself. When they cry out to You, answer them. Give them dreams and visions of Jesus showing them the way to salvation. Give Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims and others who do not yet know You a deep hunger for Truth and the courage to lay aside their false gods to seek the One True God. Open the way for loving Christians to go into these areas, providing aid and counseling to those in need. Surround them with Your Shield of protection and give them favor with all people. Empower them by Your Spirit to speak the good news of Your love in a way each person can understand. Unveil the eyes of those who have been blinded to Your Truth, give them a longing for Your love, open their ears to hear Your message of grace, and save them. For the glory of Your name, Jesus. Amen.
