Where did our moral compass go so wrong? When did it become okay to murder innocent children? Or those who speak truth?
Pray for protection, courage and empowering from the Lord for those who stand for what is right and good, but who are persecuted relentlessly by those who disagree, who have been blinded by the enemy and push satan’s purposes, rather than God’s.
Lord, please forgive us for all the ways we’ve strayed from Your truth and stood up for what man calls right instead. Long have we sought to please those around us, caving in to their manipulations and control. But now, O Sovereign God, lead us to repentance. Show us where we have gone wrong, and bring us back onto Your right paths. Grieve our hearts for what grieves Yours. And make us strong and courageous to surrender to Truth and stand for what is right and good in Your eyes. To fear Holy God, not man. Raise us up to fight for Your purposes. Use our voices to speak Your words and shine LIGHT in this present darkness, LOVE where hatred has grown, LIFE to those who seek death, GRACE in the face of persecution. Tear down every enemy lie with TRUTH. Shield and protect us as we step out to do Your will. Anoint us to share Your good news with the lost, speak Your truth in love and show mercy to those who persecute us. Lift the veil from the eyes of those who fight against You, so they will at last see You as You truly are. Break the chains that bind them to satan’s lies, and set them free to see You, hear Your voice, feel You drawing them near, and surrender to your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
