Pray for those involved in these tragic situations, that God will comfort those who mourn, heal the wounded and traumatized, make His plan of salvation known to each person, and draw all people to Himself.
INDONESIA: After a ferry went missing in the Java Sea early Sunday, rescuers found 108 people, six of them dead, as they continue to search for 129 more.
SAUDI ARABIA and YEMEN: War continues to escalate, as IRAN-backed Houthis seek control of the Red Sea. Perhaps 76,000 people have been displaced since fighting began this summer. Many fear the horrors of the last war that cost the lives of more than 150,000 people and brought on terrible famine before a 2022 ceasefire.
PHILIPPINES: 76 died in a ferry fire at the end of last week, 43 were rescued, and 13 are still missing.
CHILE: A fire at a nursing home in Pitrufquen, Araucania killed at least 16 elderly residents Friday. Ten survived and were taken to the hospital.
UKRAINE: The death toll of civilians has increased over the last two months. On Saturday, air strikes killed ten and injured dozens more. Several news sources report RUSSIA lost around 1,500 troops that day, and perhaps 1.5 million since the beginning of the war.
Loving Father, we ask for Your mercy, please. Protect and rescue those in danger, heal those who are injured, comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and rebuild the lives and homes of those who have lost so much. Do all these things in such a way that they will know You are the One who did that. When they cry out to You, answer them. Perform signs and wonders, miraculous healings, rescues and provision. Protect the children, heal hurting hearts and provide safe shelter, electricity, food and water for those without. Place within every soul a deep thirst for You. Remove every barrier that has kept them from salvation and give them courage to seek You and find You. Bring loving Christians to the lost to share Your Good News. For Christians who are homeless now or who have lost loved ones, please carry them through this difficult time like only You can. Renew their strength and empower them to encourage others around them who are also hurting, offering them hope, a safe shoulder to cry on, and the way to salvation. Bless Christians so abundantly they will also abundantly bless others in need, showing how real Your love is. Bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit all across each of these countries and beyond, leading thousands to faith in You. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to see You as You truly are, and awaken every heart to Your truth and grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
