Let’s pray together for the unreached peoples in these nations to experience Christ in powerful ways. Pray God will meet their needs, give them a hunger for Him, show them the way to salvation, heal their land and save them.
According to Action Against Hunger (February 25, 2026), these nations rank the hungriest:
- Sudan (War and terrorism have compounded famine in at least four regions, with 8 million facing emergency hunger, 637,000 catastrophic hunger)
- Occupied Palestinian Territories (Since war with Israel, 1.14 million face emergency hunger, 641,000 catastrophic)
- Afghanistan (Earthquakes and Taliban restrictions against aid agencies have added to critical food insecurity for 9.5 million people, with 1.6 million facing emergency hunger)
- Yemen (Economic crisis and ongoing conflict have made 18.1 million face high levels of food insecurity, 5.5 million at emergency levels and 41,000 catastrophic)
- South Sudan (Violence and economic instability contribute to 7.7 million facing critical food insecurity, 2.4 million at emergency levels and 83,000 catastrophic)
- Haiti (Gang violence is the main cause of crisis level food insecurity for 5.9 million people, with 2 million at emergency levels)
- Mali (Conflict in Mali has contributed to food insecurity at crisis levels for 1.5 million people, 64,200 emergency and 2,600 catastrophic)
These nations are of high concern:
- Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) (Escalating conflict, 27.7 million in food crisis)
- Myanmar (War and floods, 16.7 million in crisis, with 1 million facing emergency hunger)
- Nigeria (Islamic terrorism, 30.6 million in crisis)
- Somalia (Conflict and drought, 4.4 million in crisis)
Other areas of concern include Burkina Faso, Chad, Kenya, and Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh.

Lord, please have mercy on the millions who are hungry. Most are in countries torn apart by violence and terror, where Christians are persecuted and those who would bring food and medical and other aid are blocked. Please have mercy. So many children are dying, and women and girls especially are in danger of being trafficked. Please guard the innocent, O God. Prepare for them a future with Your love in it. Most of the millions in these countries have never had the opportunity to hear Your good news. They have no Bible accessible to them and have never met a Christian. They’re hungry for something more in life, even more than food, but don’t know You are the One they long for. Please make a way for Your gospel to get to them, so they can be saved. Open the doors wide for Christian doctors, missionaries and aid workers to enter these countries and take medicines and resources to those in need, along with a clear message of Your love and truth. For the Christians who are hiding because of persecution, suffering from hunger and need, please bless them so abundantly, they will abundantly share with their neighbors both from the bounty of Your hand and the bounty of Your love. Pour out Your miracles, Lord, and turn all eyes to You. Heal the sick. Make food appear where it was not before. Bring water from rocks as You did for Your people long ago. And do it in such a clear way, accompanied by Christians’ love, that all will see and know You are the One who did that. Empower and embolden Christians to spread Your good news and give the lost a hope for the future, not just here on Earth but for all eternity. O Father, we can’t even fathom what it must be like for mothers to watch their children starve to death, knowing they cannot help them. As people cry out, but don’t know where to find help, hear them and answer them, O Lord. Show them that You are the One they’ve been waiting for. Meet them in their dreams. Tell them of Your salvation. And bring food and water to them in such a way that they know You are the One caring for their needs. Don’t let even one more person die without the chance to know You and experience Your great love. Awaken the hungry to You, O God. Awaken their hunger to be for Your love, and then heal them, feed them, save them, set them free and satisfy them completely with You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
