Praying Ephesians 6:10-20 over us today:
O God, make us strong in You and in Your mighty power. For You are our armor. Cover us fully, so we can stand as one against the devil’s schemes. Remind us that our struggle is not against our brothers and sisters, or any other person, but against the rulers, authorities, and powers of darkness — against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Armor us fully with You, O Lord, so that when the day of evil comes, we’ll be able to stand our ground, and after we have done everything, to stand. In Your power, keep us standing firm, with the belt of Truth buckled around our waist, with the breastplate of Righteousness in place, and with our feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of Peace. Embolden us to take up the Shield of faith, with which we can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Cover our minds with the helmet of Salvation, and pierce our enemy with the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Empower us to pray in Your Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. Keep us on alert, always praying for all Your people. Give us Your words, so that whenever we speak, we will fearlessly make known the mystery of Your Gospel. Even through persecution, may we represent You well and fearlessly share Christ.
Come join our army as we pray for the nations, for persecuted Christians, for their persecutors and for seekers who don’t know how to find Christ.
