A man from an Islamic nation in North Africa reached out on social media to find Christians who could tell him about Jesus, but no one answered his questions. Suspicious of his desire to convert, his Muslim neighbors seized his phone and when they saw the messages, they beat him, leaving him in a coma for four months. Still desperate for Christ when he awoke and living on the streets in fear, he saw the Prayer Wall posts on Instagram, reached out to ask how to become a Christian and at last heard the plan of salvation and believed.
During the Gaza War, perhaps 50 or more Israelis who had never heard the good news about their Messiah visited the Prayer Wall’s public Facebook group, where we had been praying for the hostages by name. Those who asked for prayer for injured soldiers and friends were touched by our Spirit-led prayers and wanted to know more about the difference Christ makes.
Folks, this is real! People hungry for Jesus are seeking Him on social media. Are your posts mostly about what you ate for dinner and what you hate about a certain politician? Or are you sharing Christ’s love? If someone looking for Jesus came to your profile, would they find Him?
Lord, still so many across the world have been cut off from hearing Your good news. Give us a heart for the unreached. Empower us to pray for them and penetrate their darkness with Your light. Give the lost such a hunger for You they will seek You with all their heart and find You. Jeremiah 29:13. Lead them to believers, churches and Christian organizations on the Internet or in their country who will share the gospel with them and love them into Your arms. Open their hearts wide, so as soon as they hear of You, they will know You are the One they’ve been looking for. When they call upon You, hear them, O God, and answer them. Perform signs and miracles and wonders to display Your love and power, so they will lay down their idols and worship You alone. Meet them in their dreams. Speak to them throughout the day. Point them in directions that lead them to You. Awaken them to Your love and salvation. Give them courage to surrender to You, even under the threat of persecution and death, and transform their hearts so powerfully others around them will take notice and also believe. Bring whole families and people groups to faith in You, Lord. Don’t leave any corner of this planet untouched. Plant thriving, multiplying churches in every area of this earth, until all peoples have had the chance to know You. And use us, Lord, any way You desire, to shine Your light to the nations, whether online or in person with our unreached neighbors. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is what I wrote to the former Muslim who converted. If the person you’re sharing with doesn’t have a Bible, make sure you write out each verse for them.
There is only one God, and He did not create us to persecute each other, but to have a deep personal relationship with Him. He loves us, and created us to know and receive His great love for us, to love Him back, and to love others through His love.
But our sin separates us from God because He is Holy. Romans 3:23.
The Bible tells us that sin leads to death. Romans 6:23. In some societies, people have sacrificed animals to atone for their sin, but that is not enough without a change of heart. God provided the way for us to be free from the curse of death and darkness through Jesus.
Jesus is not only God’s Son, He is God Himself. John 1:1, 14.
This is hard for human reasoning to understand, but God is not a human. He is not bound by our rules of what is possible and what is not. He is infinite and all-powerful.
Jesus lived a perfect life, without sin. He came to show us what God’s love is like. But the religious leaders hated Him, and hung Him on a cross to die.
He could have saved Himself from such a horrible death, but out of love, He chose to become the final Sacrifice, so we can be free from sin and death. Three days later, He rose from the dead. Because of what Jesus did, we now have a way to be reconciled to God. He offers us the free gift of eternal life in Heaven, and an exciting, fulfilling life with Jesus here on earth. John 10:10.
To receive this gift, we must believe in Him. John 3:16. Believing is more than just words; it’s inviting Jesus to be Lord over your life. Romans 10:9. When we confess our sins, and turn away from them, God forgives us and cleanses us. 1 John 1:9. It is through the power of His love in us that we are transformed and able to love even those who persecute us. This love – this relationship with Christ – gives us joy and peace, even in the midst of terrible trials.
The gift of salvation is free. It is not earned through good works. But once Jesus is your Lord, you will naturally want to live a life of loving Him and loving others, because His love flows through you.
If you want to make that decision today, just pray and tell Him.
• Do you believe that Jesus died for your sins and rose again? Romans 10:9-10, John 3:16-17. Tell Him.
• Are you sorry for your sins? Do you want to turn away from them and do what God wants you to do instead? Matthew 4:17. Tell Him.
• Do you want Jesus to be the Lord of your life, loving Him, obeying Him, and loving others? Romans 10:9-10, 14:9. Tell Him.
Living for Jesus isn’t an easy life, but it is the only life with true fulfillment. Satan comes to kill, steal, and destroy. But Jesus came to give us abundant LIFE. John 10:10.
If the person you are sharing with chooses to believe in Jesus, encourage them to read the Bible daily. If their country does not allow them to connect to a Bible app, then as you continue to disciple them, write out the chapters or verses for them.
