More than 30 armed Fulani militants opened fire on Odo-Eri community in Kogi state on April 22, kidnapping pastors and their families from two churches (an estimated 20 people), and causing others to flee. (TruthNigeria, April 23)
On April 20, perhaps 20-35 terrorists attacked Kemanji in Kwara state with explosions and gunfire. Four soldiers died, and one vigilante, Muso Bello, is in critical condition. Gunmen also abducted 7-10 residents. (TN, April 22)
Also on April 20, Fulani terrorists attacked the Christian community of Awon in Kachia County, Southern Kaduna, killing two and abducting seven others. The attack comes just days after an Easter assault on Ariko village, just two miles away, where gunmen killed seven men and abducted 37 villagers, mostly women and children, as they worshipped. (TN, April 22)
At least eight Christians were murdered and ten injured in various coordinated attacks in Plateau state over two days April 18-19. Two died in Ansa village not far from an army post. Others occurred in Bassa, Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas, with gunmen opening fire on villages and passersby. (TN, April 21)
The week of April 12-19, Islamic jihadists killed 30 people (19 security personnel and 11 civilians) in Borno, Benue, Kwara, Kebbi and Plateau states. Many others were abducted. (TN, April 21)
The previous week, at least 35 died in Fulani attacks on predominantly Christian farming communities in Benue state. (TN, April 16)
April 10-17, Fulani terrorists ravaged seven Christian communities in Kaduna state, killing two, wounding two, and abducting 26. (TN, April 20)
These are just a few of many more assaults on Christian communities and those protecting them this month. In one instance, 13 of 14 people who were abducted were rescued, with seven suspects arrested.
Pray for protection, healing, courage, love and deep faith for the Christians who were abducted or survived these attacks. Pray God will send angel armies to surround every Christian community in Nigeria, and that those armies are continually visible to would-be attackers. Pray Fulani, Muslim and all terrorists will tremble in fear of the Lord, drop their weapons of violence, repent and surrender to Jesus. Pray they will encounter Christ in their dreams every night, in visions throughout the day and in other powerful ways, showing them the way to salvation. Pray the reign of terror in Nigeria will stop, and hundreds of thousands of Fulani and other Islamic extremists there will surrender their lives to Jesus (This is happening already!).
