Today’s prayers come from the heart of Sarah Janisse Brown, a homeschool mother and entrepreneur running for US Congress:
“We will not hide them from their children; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, His power, and the wonders He has done.”
Psalm 78:4
- God, help us to faithfully pass down Your truth to the next generation.
- Let us boldly declare Your power and the wonders You’ve done.
- May every child and student hear and carry Your story forward.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”
1 Timothy 4:12
- Lord, raise up young people who walk in confidence and bold faith.
- Help them to set the example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.
- Let them know they are not too young to be used by You.
“And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.”
Joel 2:28
- Pour out Your Spirit on this generation in a powerful way.
- Let sons and daughters hear Your voice and respond to Your calling.
- Give them vision, dreams, and a passion for Your presence.
“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.”
2 Timothy 2:2
- God, raise up leaders who will teach and disciple the next generation well.
- Help them to carry truth faithfully and invest it into others.
Lord, we also ask You for Sarah and other Christians who are running for office because You called them to join You in bringing forth Your good purposes for our country and for our children’s future. Please give them favor with all who meet them, guide them in all they say and do, place them in the right place at the right time to do the things You are doing, move voters’ hearts to elect the candidates of Your choice, and raise up into office humble servants who are guided by Your wisdom and who truly care about the nation and the people they serve. Block laws and ordinances that cause harm, especially to the innocent, and bring forth good laws that will bless the people of this country. Guide us back into truth, freedom, healing, courage and faith. Awaken us with Your love, Lord. We speak LIFE now over our nation. Hope. Healing. Salvation. Wisdom. Goodness. Spiritual Awakening. Freedom. Unity, both with You and with each other. Raise up from among our young people those who will turn all eyes to You and lead our nation back into Your arms and under Your favor and protection. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
