UKRAINE: At least six died and 15 others were injured in a mass shooting in Kyiv‘s Holosiivskyi district on Saturday. The shooter, a 58-year-old man born in Moscow, RUSSIA opened-fire on civilians and then entered a supermarket and took hostages before police killed him.
USA: A man killed eight children ages 3-11, seven of them his own, in a mass shooting early Sunday morning in Shreveport, Louisiana, before police killed him. Two women were also hospitalized, one of them his wife. And a 13-year-old was injured jumping off a roof to escape.
A mass shooting near the University of Iowa early Sunday resulted in five injuries, one in critical condition.
MALAYSIA: A fire in the Sandakan district of Sabah state, Borneo Island destroyed around 1,000 homes and displaced more than 9,000 people on Sunday.
SAIPAN: Six people are still missing after Super Typhoon Sinlaku hit the NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS last Wednesday, causing the engine to fail on their USA-flagged cargo ship and overturning it.
IRAN: Let’s continue remembering in prayer the leaders of nations in this war, Iranians seeking freedom, persecuted Christians and those who are still in need of Christ. Pray for protection over the innocent, wisdom for those making decisions, and God’s quick and right resolution to this conflict.
Lord, please bring a quick and right end to the war in Iran. Give leaders wisdom from You and courage to obey, as they make daily decisions. Block the enemy’s plans and bring forth Your right and good purposes. Be with those traumatized by shootings, war and fire in each of these nations. Heal their minds and hearts and draw them to Yourself, showing them the way to salvation. Please heal those who are injured, comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and rebuild the lives of those who have lost much. In the midst of fear, bring peace through Your love. Bring Christians to those who are suffering to share with them Your good news. Do all these things in such a way every heart will know You are the One who did that. For Christians who are injured or who have lost loved ones, please carry them through this difficult time like only You can. Renew their strength and empower them to forgive and to encourage others around them who are also hurting, offering them hope, a safe shoulder to cry on, and the way to salvation. Bless Christians so abundantly they will also abundantly bless those in need. Bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit all across each of these nations, leading thousands to faith in You. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to see You as You truly are, and awaken every heart to Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
