Pray for those who are grieving, injured or otherwise suffering because of these events, that they will cry out to the Lord, and He will answer. Pray He will send loving Christians to their aid to help them rebuild, comfort them with His love and show them the way to salvation.
- Nine people died in a plane crash in Florida Sunday.
- Recent floods brought devastation to areas of Florida, New Mexico, Arizona and Colorado.
- One died and at least eight other young people were wounded in a mass shooting near Illinois Wesleyan University early Sunday morning.
- A pregnant woman died and six other people were wounded when a 17-year-old open-fired at a Halloween store in Fairfield, California last week.
- Two died and two others were injured in a mass shooting Monday at Monterey County Beach, California.
- Anthony Rivers, 15, shot 11 people near Florida A&M University in Tallahassee on October 24.
Father, please have mercy. Heal the wounded, comfort the grieving, rescue those in danger and provide for those in need in such a way they will know it is You. Give every person affected by each of these situations above a deep hunger for You. Meet them in their dreams, talk to them throughout the day, and when they cry out to You for help, answer them, O Lord. Bring Christians into their path to powerfully show them Your love and preach the Gospel. Answer every prayer like only You can. Lift the veil from the eyes of the lost so they will see You as You truly are, and give them courage to believe. Show Christians ways they can reach out to their neighbors in this time of need. Make them a safe place where people know they can go for kindness, protection and help. Empower believers to share Your Good News in a way the lost can easily understand, and save whole families and neighborhoods by Your grace. We ask especially for those responsible for harm and murder. Break the chains that bind them to enemy purposes, and set them free to see You as You truly are, hear Your good news and be saved. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
