163 Missing Children Recovered!

Law enforcement in Florida found 163 missing children August 17-21 during Operation Statewide Shield. The children ranged in age from two months to 17 years old, many of them suffering from abuse, neglect and human trafficking.

While most of the children were found in Florida, some were also located in other US states and a dozen foreign countries.

Father God, we praise You for these rescued children and for the law enforcement officers who worked together to make it happen. Please heal the hearts, minds and bodies of children and teens who were abused physically and sexually. Release them from the mental scars they bear. Whatever terrifying dreams haunt them, appear to them in the midst of those and rescue them. Wipe their tears. Rebuild their lives through safe, loving relationships. Surround them with accepting friends and family who will make this time of transition easy and healing. Give them a yearning for You, Lord. Only You can set them free from the anxiety, fear, depression, shame, drug addiction, PTSD and other scars their minds and hearts bear. Show them the way out of darkness and into Light. You created each of them for Your glory, and no matter what evil has been done unto them, Your purposes still stand. Bring Christian counselors to them to love them and help them heal. Draw them into caring churches and Bible study groups that will be a safe place for them. Every moment, Lord, let them feel Your arms around them, hear Your voice speaking comfort, and know You will never leave them or forsake them, for You have a plan to work even this terrible evil done unto them into something good.

Father, yet more children and teens are trapped in abusive situations. Shield them and comfort them. Let them know You are near. Block their abusers from accomplishing anything they set out to do and make the way for their escape. Reveal their whereabouts to authorities, parents and other concerned citizens who will fight for their freedom. Bind up, expose and prosecute every abuser and trafficker, Lord. Lock them away where they will never be able to harm another child or person again. Bring them to their knees in repentance, and show them the way to salvation.

For those children who even today are in danger of abduction, stand in the way, Lord. Surround them with Your angels, and rescue them. Crush every evil plan and protect the way for them to live a long life of knowing and enjoying Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
