3 Hostages Found in Gaza and Other Headlines

ISRAEL-GAZA: The IDF recovered the body of Pinta Nattapong (m, 35) a Thai agricultural worker taken captive from Nir Oz, and then slain. They also recovered the bodies of two American-Israelis killed on October 7, Judith Weinstein-Haggai, 70, and her husband, Gad Haggai, 72. They were taken to Gaza by Mujahideen Brigades, the armed wing of the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement. Let’s continue praying for the remaining hostages by name, and for Christians and Gazans caught up in the crossfire and facing acute food insecurity.

Thank You, Lord, that these families can have a sense of closure. Please comfort them as they mourn, and open their hearts wide to know You. Give them a longing for the love and peace only found in Christ. Please shield the remaining hostages who are still alive and keep them from harm. Visit terrorists in their dreams, fill them with fear of the Lord, and show them the way of salvation. Bring Christians to homeless Gazans to share Your love and care for their needs. Multiply food supplies, heal the wounded, make Your Word available to all in a way they can easily understand, and bring forth a great movement of Your Spirit, with thousands turning from the violence and fear of Islam to the love and grace of Christ.

INDIA: 11 people died in a crowd crush of tens of thousands of cricket fans in Bengaluru last Wednesday.

Please comfort these families, Lord. But most of all, break the chains that bind them to false gods. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see You as You truly are. Make the way for each to hear Your gospel and respond to Your truth. Heal their hearts and set them free. Forever. Awaken India to Your love, O God. Bring the church planting movements happening throughout that country up into the neighborhoods of these who mourn, and save them.

CANARY ISLANDS: 48 cocaine smugglers were arrested and almost four tonnes of cocaine seized in an international operation to take down a smuggling ring carrying drugs from South America to the Canary Islands.

Thank You, Lord, for answering our prayers that drug rings will fall. We pray now for the souls of each of those who have been arrested and all those who have suffered because of drugs. Please break them free from the hold Satan has had on them. Bring the gospel to them in a way that they will realize You are the only One who can truly fulfill them, that all they have run after all their lives has no value, only faith in Christ. Speak to them throughout the day, meet them in their dreams at night, and draw every heart to Yourself, Lord. Have mercy, and save them.

USA: Protests in Los Angeles erupted over the weekend due to arrests of illegal immigrants.

Lord, please protect all those involved, whether officers, protesters, citizens or illegal immigrants. Fix every eye on You and give them hunger for spiritual freedom more than earthly freedom, and the One who is Love more than hatred and violence.

Earthquakes in the past few days:

  • CHILE: 6.4 magnitude in Copiapó
  • COLOMBIA: 6.3 in Bogotá
  • MYANMAR: 5.9 about 300 km northwest of Mae Sariang, THAILAND
  • GREECE: 6.2 in the Dodecanese Islands, with at least one death and nearly 70 injuries; and 5.2 in Crete
  • TURKEY: 5.8 in Marmaris, Turkey, also felt in Rhodes, GREECE
  • USA: 4.8 in Caliente, Nevada; 3.4 in San Francisco, California; 4.1 in Atlanta, Georgia; and a swarm of over 100 earthquakes in Stanley, Idaho, one topping 4.
  • PAKISTAN: 3.4 in Karachi, but a panic killed one and injured at least 22 at a prison

Lord, so many are living in. fear right now. Use these earthquakes to bring about a great awakening to You. Meet every person in powerful ways. Make Your gospel available to them in a way they can easily understand. When they cry out to You, answer them. Let them feel Your presence, hear Your voice and respond in faith, repenting of their sins and choosing to follow Jesus.
