Hezbollah Explosions and Nations in the News This Week

Let’s pray through the headlines this week. If you’re joining us, please comment, so this post will be seen by even more prayer warriors. Help us build the army!

In LEBANON and SYRIA, around 4,000 were wounded and at least 11 died when pagers used by members of the Hezbollah terrorist group exploded Tuesday. Then yesterday, Hezbollah walkie talkies exploded in Beirut and southern Lebanon, including at a funeral for several terrorists and a child killed the day before. At least 14 died and 450 were wounded across the country.

Lord, as Muslim families mourn those who died, and the many wounded are in pain, show them who You truly are. Invade every terrorist and family member’s dreams and show them the way to salvation. Break the chains that have bound them to violence. Strike them with fear of the Lord, lead them to repentance, show them Your grace and love, and heal them. Give every member of Hezbollah and their families such a hunger for You, they will seek Truth with all their hearts and find You.

UKRAINE and RUSSIA each exchanged 103 prisoners of war on Saturday, their second such swap in two days. In all, since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has secured the return of 3,672 of their people in 57 exchanges.

Thank You, Lord, for these who have hopefully returned home by now. Bring Christians to them to counsel them and help to healing. Visit those who are still held prisoner in both countries, and let them feel Your presence near, so they know they’re not alone. Remind them of Bible verses and truth from Your Word they have heard before, and give them a hunger for You. Visit them in their dreams and talk to them throughout the day. Open their eyes to see You as You truly are. Make a way for them to each have a Bible. And set them free from both spiritual and physical captivity.

MALAYSIA police rescued more than 400 children and teenagers suspected to have been physically and sexually abused in 20 Islamic-linked care homes; 171 suspects have been arrested, including religious teachers and caretakers.

Thank You, Lord, for the rescue of these children and teens, but, O God, what tragic wounds of heart, mind and body they now bear from such abuse. Bring loving Christians to them to minister to them Make the way for their salvation and healing. Set them free from PTSD and every way the enemy has sought to bind them spiritually to keep them from the Truth. Give them a hunger for You and lead them to loving churches and families who will care for them. Give their abusers remorse for what they’ve done. Break them free from the chains that bind them to Satan and false religion. Lift the veil from their eyes so they will see Jesus as He truly is and surrender to Your love and salvation.

In HAITI, at least 25 people died and 40 were injured in a fuel truck explosion Saturday.

Lord, please comfort those who mourn and heal those who are wounded. Make the way soon for the gang wars and violence to stop, and for fuel and other necessities to be made available to every person in need. But most of all, their need is for You. Please meet every heart in powerful ways and show them the way to salvation.

PORTUGAL wildfires have led to seven deaths, including three firefighters, since Sunday.

Lord, please protect those in danger, heal those who are wounded, and comfort those who mourn. Bring Christians to them to help them rebuild their lives. Provide for their needs in such abundance, they will also be able to provide for others. And make Your plan of salvation known to every heart.

In CUBA, at least 600,000 people are without water. MEXICO City is also facing extreme drought.

Lord, please bring rain and provide for those in need. Most of all, Lord, in the midst of their thirst for water, give them a deep thirst for You. For only You are the Living Water, and those who drink from Your well will never thirst again. Make the way for those who do not yet know You to hear the good news and be saved. Open the doors for Christians to bring in aid and to share Your good news. Start a church planting movement in both places that is out of man’s control.
