Let God Be Your Time Manager

Philippians 4:13; Proverbs 3:5-7; Ecclesiastes 3:1

In all things Kingdom Culture, Jesus is our Model. And Jesus only did what His Father was doing. John 5:19. So should we.

Burnout happens when you’re doing more than God has asked you to, or you’re doing it in your own power.

That’s why it’s so important to surrender your schedule over to the Lord and let Him show you what He wants to do — not just sometimes, but all the time. Proverbs 3:5-7.

If you don’t, you leave a wide-open door for the enemy to distract you with busy tasks that keep you from the powerful, meaningful, eternal, make-a-huge-difference things God wants to do.

So many times, if I’d gone ahead with what I had planned instead of asking Jesus what He wanted to do, I would have missed that woman at the market who was hungry to hear the Good News, or that hurting friend who showed up at my door unexpected, or a difficult circumstance my children needed help through….

The everyday moments I hand to God become God-awesome moments in His hand!

— from Victory Strategy #34, “Let God Be Your Time Manager,” in Dare to Be a Mighty Warrior, Delight to Be a Woman of Wonder, and the accompanying Power Planners, by Mikaela Vincent, www.MoreThanAConquerorBooks.com.

Today, purpose to begin your day by handing it to the Lord. Then walk with Him all throughout the day inviting Him into every moment. You can do that by worshipping as you do chores, or asking God to speak through you as you deal with a client, or seeking His wisdom in helping your children through a problem. If you don’t look for Him throughout your day, you may miss what He’s doing. But every day is a God-awesome day when surrendered to Him.
