Take Off the Blinders

This past week, the Lord gave me three dreams over three nights. In the first, people walked about with blinders on that covered not only their eyes but the whole face. Inside, they cried out to be seen for who they truly were. But with their own faces covered and with others’ blinders on, as well, no one could see anyone. They just imagined whatever they wanted to, and then treated each other as if their imaginations were true. Some fearfully avoided each other or held grudges, imagining evil motives that weren’t there.

One woman, who wanted desperately to be seen, had covered her face with white blinders carefully decorated with delicate bridal lace, while the man she wanted to marry wore face-covering blinders to match his tux. They held hands contentedly together for the moment, delighted with their put-on appearances, yet never seen or truly seeing one another.

Lord, please help us see each other — and ourselves — through Your eyes. Let us feel Your presence with us and hear Your voice speaking over us: Take off the blinders. You want to be seen, and yet you cover up who you truly are in order to attract the friends and lovers you want. But they also are not who you think they are and cannot give you what you want.

Take the blinders off.
Ask Me how I see that person.
Ask Me how I see you.
Only when you look through My eyes will you see clearly.

You don’t need to try to be accepted. You already are. Acceptance by those people is not what matters, for they have their flaws just like you, and no one will ever accept you to the depth that those holes in your heart cry out for.

Only I see you clearly.
Only I can fill the holes in your heart.
Only I accept you completely, sight fully seen, just as you are.
Because only I can love you like that.

Stop thinking others have it all together. They don’t. Stop thinking you must have it all together. You don’t. I am the One who completes you. Only when you see yourself through My eyes will you see clearly. You are beloved. Accepted. Perfect. (Hebrews 10:14, Song of Songs 4:7) And you are Mine. That is all that matters.

Receiving My unconditional love for you is the only way you will at last rest from all your striving (and never achieving) perfect acceptance from man. Only My acceptance is perfect, for it is through My sacrifice that you have been made perfect. Just believe.

Drop the scales from your eyes, no longer weighing yourself by what you think others are. For your scales are always wrong. I have weighed your worth and found you perfect, worthy, acceptable. For you have chosen Me. Do not let the enemy tell you that you are anything less than what I, Truth, have already spoken over you. Let Me trample Satan’s lies in your worried mind, and bring you peace.
