Step Up into My Arms

A powerful word from the Lord today for those of us feeling a bit beat up in the battle:

Step up. Not with hopeful goals to better yourself that fade away within a couple of weeks. Not with working all the harder and burning out all the faster, or with beating yourself up because you failed. No. The “stepping up” I am calling you to is stepping out of yourself and up into Me.

I know you’ve been hurt. I know those people are still attacking you and those others you love so much are still failing you. I know all the areas of your life where you’re in need right now. But I am still your Everything. I just Am. Either you seek Me and let Me fill you and heal you and use you for My glory to love as I first loved you, or you don’t. The choice is yours. The first brings life. The last will tear you apart from the inside out.

You were made for more than the earthly concerns that cascade in ever-increasing flows, plunging you down to hit rock-bottom.

Step up into My arms. Where you are safe. Where you can be about the things I am doing, not just what everyone and your enemy expect of you. Where you won’t miss a miracle. Where the miracle is My Spirit in you, transforming you and using you for My glory.

Are you worried? Afraid? –> Hand Me your fears. Seek Me for a verse, a word from My heart to yours, instructions for how to walk through that hard situation. Seek Me and you will find Me, if you look for Me in earnest. Jeremiah 29:13.

Too busy to pray? –> How long does it take you to say, “Help Me with this, please, Lord,” as you do something difficult? Less than a second. When your children misbehave, how long does it take you to ask, “Lord, what do You want to do? What does my child truly need right now?” Less than two seconds. So, tell me again why you don’t have time to seek Me?

Time is not your problem. Your focus is. You are all about what you want that’s not going the way you want right now, or what needs to get done and how you’re the only one to do it. But being comfortable or fulfilling that earthly challenge that’s here today and gone tomorrow is not what I created you for. I created you for Love. To know Me. To feel My great love flowing in you. To give your all to Me, so I can love others through you.

Hand me your plans and ask Me for Mine. Hand Me your children and ask Me what I want to do in their lives and how you can join Me in their journey to getting there. Hand Me your marriage and ask Me how you can bless this person I gave you to love through many flaws.

Grace upon grace. As I have showered My love on you and forgiven you many times over, this you can do in My power, as well, and show the world what Love is like.

Step up. Out of dissension. Out of worry. Out of the thoughts that take you spinning off away from Me and down whatever dark road the enemy wants to take you. If you step up into My arms, you are fully protected. For I, your Shield, fight for you. And I always win. Romans 8.
