Deadly typhoon Nanmadol hit Japan, while hurricane Fiona invaded Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic, knocking out power and causing flooding yesterday.
Lord, please be with all those affected by storms. Wrap them in Your arms and protect them from harm. Let them feel Your presence close and hear You speaking to them, drawing them to Yourself. Rescue those in danger, and comfort those who are mourning or afraid. Bring Christians to their aid to show them Your love and share with them Your good news in a way they will receive with open arms. Awaken Japan to Your light and love, O God. Awaken the lost of Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic to Your truth. Open all eyes to see You and every heart to hunger for You. Provide for those in need in such a way that they know it is You, and then pull them on up into Your kingdom, saved by Your grace, to walk in Your paths all the way to glory. Bring back the power, provide clean water for drinking, food for those who are hungry, dry ground for those who are stranded, and shelter for those without. Move Christians to rush to the aid of those in need, opening churches and homes to take in those without shelter, and shining Your love in such powerful ways no one can refuse You. Graciously rebuild the lives of those who have been broken, and plant churches in every neighborhood so all who seek You will find You. In Your name, Jesus. Amen.

PRAYER WALL 
Lord, my heart is filled with compassion over the ferocious storms that have ravaged these countries. I’ve experienced hurricanes but not to the degree these countries have. Lord, come to their aid. Let Mercy come running to them. Help the people of both countries turn to You. May they bow their knees and will to You. Help them to question their hearts and realize that God is speaking through the weather-that God is Lord over the weather. Lord, help those who are injured. Help those who have lost everything. Equip the groups that bring food, shelter and medical care to them. As people receive supplies from Christian groups, may the gospel be shared with them and hearts given to You. Let Your love be evident in every action taken in these hard-hit areas. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
