It matters. Every day you pray. Every prayer you pray. It makes a difference. Revelation 8:3-5.
Lord, don’t let us give up the fight. Even when it seems nothing is happening or our prayers aren’t getting answered the way we want them to, You are listening. We know because Your Word tells us so. Our prayers matter. Loving You and loving those we pray for — it all matters. Almighty God, You don’t need my prayers in order to do great things. You are all-powerful. You can do anything. But You have chosen to partner together with lowly people such as me to do great and mighty things upon this earth, showing forth Your glory because of love. For You created us for relationship. You love those we pray for so much You sent Your Son to die for them and for me. And so, we pray. We join with You now to ask You to bring forth a great awakening upon this earth in the heart of every man, woman and child. We pray for those dear to us. For those who are suffering. For the lost. For the backslidden. The downtrodden. The weary. Our persecutors. Our governors. The children. Our youth. Every tribe. Every people. Every nation. Every church. Every home. Every heart. Awaken us with such a hunger for You we seek You until we find You. Until we walk into the great purposes You created us for — to know You, to feel Your great love for us, to love You back, and to love others into Your arms with the power of Your love flowing through us. O God of Grace, have mercy on us, for we are easily distracted from the things that matter. We let the worries of this world take precedence in our thoughts over the power and might of the Almighty One who is for us and who has overcome the world. John 16:33. Deepen our faith. Strengthen our weak knees. Bend us in prayer. And change us. For only in kneeling upon the Solid Rock and looking up at the Great One do we at last find the stability to stand firm in faith and see Your salvation fall like rain upon the earth, changing us like only Love can.

Lord, I pray for our world. There is so much love of self and not enough love for you. There are wars, rumours of wars, hatred, violence, strife (including among the Christian church), pride, and lust for fleshly desires. I pray for the global Christian church to stand up with a fresh Spirit-filled boldness to spread Your love to others. May Your will be done. In Jesus name, amen.
