Joyfully One

A few nights ago I had a dream in which God’s people gathered from all nations to daily have breakfast together. There was no distinction between races, cultures or portions, but all were of one Kingdom, one family, and all received the same perfectly proportioned manna-cake. They were laughing, each seated wherever they were in life, yet purposefully leaning in to rejoice in each others’ portion.

Lord, as the world battles race against race and nation against nation, empower Your church to rise up in Your love that conquers all. Renew us daily with the manna of Your Word. Give us such abundant joy and oneness with You and with each other that we become known for our love. As worldly arguments for tolerance and equality demand from others what they do not practice themselves, set Your church apart as the place where true love and grace abound. May the world know we are Christians by our love … and join us!
