When Christmas Is Hard

My dear brothers and sisters, I don’t know what all you are going through right now, but I know for some of you this will be the first Christmas without a dear loved one. I want you to know my heart is with you and I love you dearly. Jesus’ arms are a safe place to crawl up into and let Him carry you through this next week and more. I pray you will have a beautiful Christmas, filled with sweet family time, precious memories, and special surprises of love and tender kindness from the One this is all for.

Lord, we ask You now for those who have lost loved ones, and are missing them so deeply this Christmas. Hold them close to Your heart. Fill their empty spaces with Your felt presence, and surprise them in special ways that they will know that they know that it is You. Comfort them with Your love, draw them up into Your arms, and give them a safe place to breathe. Build their faith, give them hope, fill them with peace, renew their joy, and remind them of how very deeply they are cherished and loved. In Your name. Amen.
