When we go through trials, it’s easy to look around and think, “Why doesn’t she have this problem? Am I the only one going through this?” or “Why does God heal him but not me?” or “Why is my marriage in pieces, and that other couple is so blessed?”
The truth is we all have trials on this earth. None of us are exempt.
And those people you think have it all together — they don’t.
God didn’t promise everything would go our way. But He did promise to be with us. The journey you’re on looks different from the journey I’m on because there are different parts of our hearts He’s growing and changing to conform us to His image. But He means for us to make this journey together, with Him and with each other. What He’s teaching you I will need on my road, too. And what He’s teaching me, you will need.
Let’s walk as one in Him together.
Lord, help us walk together with each other through every trial, praying for each other, listening, encouraging, loving…. Bring to each of us those who will be the body of Christ together with us. And give us courage to understand, love and forgive one another. Let us see each other through Your eyes, laying down our own opinions and asking You for Yours instead. Teach us what it means to walk in oneness with You and with each other. John 17.
