Election Day

Elections are today for Governor of Virginia, Governor of New Jersey. Other ballot measures will also be voted on this month by several states.

God Almighty, You know the plans You have for us, plans to prosper us, not to harm us, plans to give us a hope and a future. You have promised that if we call to You and come and pray to You, You will listen; that if we seek You, we will find You if we look for You in earnest. Jeremiah 29:11-14. We, Your people, cry out to You now, O Lord. Please forgive us for the ways we have wandered from the faith and freedom on which this country was founded, making up our own “truth” to replace Yours and allowing the enemy’s plans to prevail. Father, bring us back to You now. We ask You for wisdom for those who are voting today, but mostly for salvation; that You will draw every voter, every candidate, every law-maker up into Your arms. Pursue us, Lord, like never before. Let us feel Your great love for us so we will surrender to Your grace. Lift the veil from our eyes. Expose every evil plan. Give us courage to fight for the things that matter. And bring forth right where so much has gone wrong. Draw this whole nation back to You, O Lord. Awaken us to Your love. For no candidate or law can replace the joy and peace found in You. Protect our children, please, Lord. Make a way for them to grow up in a safety, with influencers in their lives who love You and will lead them in Your paths. Tear down every lie with Your truth. And raise up even now a generation of leaders who will fight for what’s right and good, who will love You and serve You with unwavering passion, and who will lead us into Your arms. We need You, Lord. Our children need you. Our cities. Our nation. Draw us to our knees in repentance, and heal our land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.
