O Lord, we have wandered so far from You, each one to our own ways, and we have brought destruction down upon ourselves because of our waywardness. We’ve forgotten Who our Creator is and why we were created, and we have worshipped our own ends rather than bowing to Your perfect will and plans. We need You, Lord. Have mercy on us. Come and meet us in our depraved state. Awaken Your might, and awaken us. Come and save us, Lord. Make Your face shine upon us that we may be saved. Show Yourself glorious, so we cannot look away. Show us Your love, O Lord. Awaken us to Who You truly are, so we will throw away our idols and worship You alone. Restore us once again to the purpose for which we were formed: to know You, enjoy You, love You, and love others through Your love.
Let’s band together in prayer and build a wall of prayer to block the enemy’s plans, and bring forth God’s purposes in this nation and in the world. “For we are not contending against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:1 rsv
