Praying for Our Families

Let’s pray for our families today.

Lord, we ask You, by Your divine care, to please watch over our families and children. Guard our hearts from every evil attack. Give us wisdom in every situation to know what to say and to do to care for our spouse’s heart and our children’s. Bind us together in perfect unity with each other and with You. Remind us to pray together each day, to read our Bibles together, to talk about You as we come, as we go, and all throughout the day. Teach us how to look to You in every decision and not lean on our own understanding. Give us courage to model that for our children, so they will grow up also surrendered to You in all they do. Lord, these days are rapidly moving into darkness all around us. Make our families a beacon of light, a burning fire of passion for You and love for the peoples of this earth, so that its sparks ignite the whole nation and the world with hunger for Your love. So many people, even some within our extended families, have never experienced true love the way You give it through those who truly love You. They look for those who will do something for them, but You have already given the ultimate sacrifice. There is no greater love. Show them Your love, Lord, and use our families to demonstrate how You can bring wholeness and freedom, joy and peace, love abounding to this broken world. Only in You are we truly healed and made whole again.
