Because nothing of this world will ever be enough. You need the MORE you were created for. I am the More. I AM.”
The Lord spoke this in my quiet time one day, as I was praying for someone who has long resisted going deeper in her walk with the Lord. As if anything in this world could be greater than He. Maybe you know someone who needs this word today. Maybe you need it, too.
Lord, please give us a hunger for the MORE we were created for. Nothing else in this world can fill the holes in our heart. They are God-sized on purpose. Only in You will we ever experience abundant life. John 10:10. Make our hearts fervently hunger and thirst for You. Pursue us relentlessly, until You are all we desire. Let us hear Your voice calling us higher up and deeper into Your heart. Give us courage to lay down all the vain things we have trusted in and cling to the vastness of You. Come and meet us powerfully in our quiet times. Pour Your love and peace out over us. Set us free from the things that have kept us from more of You. Take us over, Lord. Make us Yours. Completely.
