The closer I grow to Christ, the more He amazes me with His intimate, relentless, breathtakingly beautiful pursuit of His bride. During my quiet time one day, He sang this over her. Sharing this with you, because … you are … His bride….
“O, My bride,
Long have I longed for you.
Long have I called to you.
Long have I sought you
in this desert where I’ve placed you. (Hosea 2)
When will you long for Me?
When will you come gladly?
To meet Me… to hear from Me…
To love Me as I have loved you?
One with Me, come be one with Me.
Come shake the chains of the evil one,
stand up and be free.
All this avoiding… all this blame…
Set it aside… Let go of the shame.
If you would but ask Me, I would release you
from all the guilt that builds your pride,
from all the anger you hold inside.
No need to persecute My people, My bride.
Come here!
Come near!
Long for Me as I long for you…
Waterbrooks of beauty, of life…
I’m calling you. (Psalm 42)
Come! Come, My bride! Come!
Rest now in My arms.
No need to fight against My love,
like a child who’s done wrong.
No more pride. No more fighting now.
Be still, be still, My bride now.
Be still and know that I am God.
I’ve loved you since forever.
Be still… still in My arms…
Listen to My breathing.
Stop all your moving, all your fighting.
Let Me tell you you are loved.
Don’t try so hard, My love.
I love you… just as you are.”
