Lord, what battles have I been fighting in the trenches, when You have called me to rise above? In what ways have I used words as weapons to fight back against those who oppose me, when all You’ve called me to is love? Matthew 22:37-40.
Lift me up now, O God, high above the mess. Let me see myself and others through Your eyes. For only then will I see clearly. Set me free from anxiety, defensiveness, doubt, control, pride, envy, judgment, and every other viewpoint-barrier that has stood in the way of oneness with You and others. Pick me up out of the sin that entangles me, and empower me to ride upon the wings of Your love and grace. Use me, O God, as an agent of change. May Your love flow so powerfully through me, that everyone who comes close catches a glimpse of Your glory and is drawn up into Your arms, never to be the same again.
