Lord, sometimes it feels as if the enemy is assaulting us from all sides and the fury of all that comes against us is greater than we can withstand. But no foe is bigger than You, O God, no army mightier than Your power, no assault greater than the protection of Your love. We chooseContinue reading “Stand on Love and You Will Stand”

Deciding God’s Way
Today, I feel the Lord urging us to pray for those who are being pressed into tight corners and are having to make huge life decisions. Lord, give us wisdom, please. Help us not lean on our own understanding, but to seek You in all our ways, letting You direct our paths. We can’t seeContinue reading “Deciding God’s Way”
Pressing on to Receive the Prize
What has your life mostly been about? What thoughts mainly run through your head throughout the day? Worries about how to make ends meet? Anger when someone doesn’t do what you think they should? What you want and how to get it? Lustful thoughts? Fear for your children’s future? Be careful what you focus onContinue reading “Pressing on to Receive the Prize”
Let Me Be Your Safe Place
Today, I feel the Lord saying to our hearts: I am here. I have not left. I am your Safe Place. Wherever you find yourself now, however you mourn, I want you to know I am with you. I have made a way through this for you, and it is in My arms. All aroundContinue reading “Let Me Be Your Safe Place”
Faith and Refocus
Lord, sometimes it feels as if the enemy is assaulting us from all sides, and the fury of all that comes against us feels greater than we can withstand. But for You, O God. Christians’ Response to Violence
On Sunday, a mass shooter open-fired on those gathered for lunch at Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods, California, killing one and injuring five. The man who died actually gave his life to save the others. He confronted the shooter, who shot him multiple times. If it wasn’t for that sacrifice, many more may have died.Continue reading “Christians’ Response to Violence”
Prayer for Anxious Hearts
Lord, be our Shield. Block fear from invading our minds, hearts, and homes. When anxiety, worry, and panic overcome us, we have trouble trusting in Your Sovereignty and Your heart of Love. We try to take control, but everything’s so out of control, especially our racing hearts and spiraling thoughts. Rescue us, O Lord, fromContinue reading “Prayer for Anxious Hearts”
Building Oneness with Christ
What does it look like to walk in the Spirit? Galatians 5:16, 25. I’m still learning and growing in this area, but one habit that has helped greatly to position me for more of His flow is to make Jesus my first thought. Before I open my eyes. Before I get out of bed. BeforeContinue reading “Building Oneness with Christ”
What the World Needs Now Is Jesus
Lord, we have chased our own agendas, run over people to push them, only to find we were wrong all along. We have sought what we thought would satisfy, only to find ourselves empty again. Father, these days are trying, hard for all of us in so many ways. Please empty us of all theContinue reading “What the World Needs Now Is Jesus”
Proverbs 3:5-6 – The Surrender Theme
We have a Sovereign One who holds our future in His hands. It’s not the president of a nation or any other governing party, whether evil or good. It’s the God Who loves us. Nothing happens except that the Sovereign One allows it. And if He allows it, then no matter what evil plans ourContinue reading “Proverbs 3:5-6 – The Surrender Theme”
