Chinese Churches in UK Growing

Despite yesterday’s post that Christians are no longer the majority in the UK, Chinese churches in England have doubled and tripled in size because of the large numbers of immigrants from Hong Kong. In fact, one Chinese church in Manchester has grown from 200 to 1,200. “Almost 1 in 4 Hong Kong immigrants to theContinue reading “Chinese Churches in UK Growing”

Christians Released from Iranian Prison

Praise God two Christian prisoners in an Iranian prison known as the “torture factory” were recently released without explanation. Both Nasser Narvad Gol-Tapeh, a 61-year old Christian man and house church attender, and Fariba Dalir, a 51-year-old mother and house church planter, were charged with “acting against national security” because of their underground church involvement.Continue reading “Christians Released from Iranian Prison”

Some Things Must Not Be Compromised

Nearly every day in the news we hear of one more way a church or Christian leader has compromised, embracing worldly viewpoints and sin, bowing to those idols. This is nothing new. For all throughout the Bible we see God’s people bowing left and right (pun on present political idolatry) to anything but Him. ButContinue reading “Some Things Must Not Be Compromised”

All the More Fighting in Tigray

Ethiopia is listedContinue reading “All the More Fighting in Tigray”

China in Our Prayers

Due to last week’s bus crash in Guizhou Province that killed 27 people, China’s zero-Covid measures, the upcoming 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party (October 16), persecution of Christians and Muslims, and many other reasons China has been in the news of late, let’s remember the people of that nation in prayer. Lord,Continue reading “China in Our Prayers”

Hundreds Turn to Christ in Myanmar

Since a military coup in Myanmar early last year, thousands of innocent people have died, many of those Christians. Fighting in the mostly Christian Chin State has left countless families homeless and hiding in the jungles, their villages burned, and dozens of churches ransacked, shelled and occupied. Baptist pastor Cung Biak Hum was gunned downContinue reading “Hundreds Turn to Christ in Myanmar”

Let Us Not Grow Weary

Tired of the constant news of bombings, death and atrocities in Ukraine, our war-weary hearts can tend to wane in prayer, aid and even interest. Donations to Christian agencies like SendRelief.org that provide help for Ukrainians in need have a tendency to dwindle the longer the battle continues. But displaced families are still hungry andContinue reading “Let Us Not Grow Weary”
