Pray for Refugees

A registered more than 2.6 million refugees from Afghanistan now reside in other countries. This provides a unique opportunity for those formerly cut off from the Gospel to now finally hear about Christ’s love. Let’s pray for a mighty movement of the Lord in Afghan communities throughout the world.

Lord, please give Afghan refugees such a deep hunger for You they will seek You with all their heart and find You. Empower Christians teaching language and helping with shopping, paperwork and other daily needs to share the Good News in ways they can easily understand and with a demonstration of Your great love and mercy. Bring whole households and communities to You, O God. Meet them in their dreams and give them visions to convict them that You alone are the One they’ve been looking for. When they cry out to You, answer them. Perform signs and wonders, healings and other miracles in such a way that they will know You did that, Jesus. Topple every wall that has kept them from knowing You, and draw them to Yourself with lovingkindness. Lord, in so many communities, Afghans who seek You are threatened severely by others in the community. May Your perfect love cast out fear and give them courage to choose You as Savior. Shield every seeker and believer from harm and use their hunger and passion to seek You to draw others into Your loving arms. Awaken the peoples of Afghanistan to You, O Lord, and bring about a mighty revival. Plant of thousands of churches all across the world in every place where they now reside. Then open the way for them to take the Good News back to their home country, transforming it with Your Truth and Love.
