Israel, Gaza, Tibet Headlines Shift in Answer to Prayer

ISRAEL-GAZA: Hamas and Israel have agreed to the first phase of a ceasefire plan, which includes the release of all 48 hostages left in Gaza (20 of them alive), most likely on Monday. It also includes Israeli troops withdrawing to an agreed-upon point and the release of a number of Palestinian prisoners.

TIBET: All of the close to 1,000 people stranded by the sudden snowstorm on the eastern slope of Mount Everest have now been rescued, including hundreds of local guides, yak herders and hikers.

All of these nations, including Israel, are highly unreached with the gospel of Christ. 

Father God, thank You for giving Your wisdom to all those involved in negotiations, and for the headway that has been made already. Please usher both sides through to quickly end this war in the right way. Bring all the hostages home safely and protect innocent Palestinians from further war and hunger. Bring lasting peace in the Middle East, but most of all in every heart. Give both Muslims and Jews a hunger for You so strong they will seek Truth with all their hearts and find Jesus. Make the way where there seems to be no way for Your gospel to reach those bound up by hatred and release them into Love. March in Your angel armies to give to You all this terrain Satan has worked so hard to control. Begin a church-planting movement that no amount of evil and terrorism can stop, one so out-of-man’s-control that every terrorist will be struck by the revelation of Christ and those bent on violence and murder will be stopped in their tracks, just as Paul was, and fall to their knees in repentance before the One who loved them and gave His life for them so they can be saved. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Lord, we thank You for the lives that have been saved in Tibet and for all those who worked several days at 16,000 feet and above to clear away the snow. Please meet in powerful ways each one of these hundreds who have been rescued. Show them who You are and what this life is for, and draw them to Yourself. Give them a hunger for You and make the way for them to hear Your good news in a way they can easily understand.
