Today, let’s pray together Psalm 91 over our families….
We choose to live in Your shelter, O Most High, to abide in the shadow of the Almighty. We say to You, O Lord, You are our Refuge and our Fortress; our God, in Whom we trust.
Deliver us from the snare of the fowler, for Satan keeps trying to sneak up on us to trap us and our children in his net. Save us, O Lord. Don’t let any harm or evil befall us.
Keep us and our children safe from any illnesses, accidents, and other deadly attacks. Don’t let the enemy kill our love or trust in You. Give us LIFE through Your love, and let us grow all the deeper in love with You every day, so we can walk out in that Love and sow Your LIFE into our families, churches, and others around us.
Cover us with Your broad pinions, Lord, for under Your wings we find refuge. Your faithfulness is our Shield and Buckler.
Protect us from night terrors, nightmares, or other ways the enemy stalks at night. Shield us so completely with Your love that the arrows the enemy shoots through others’ angry words, or things that go wrong, will just bounce off and hit the enemy instead.
Lord, don’t let the darkness around us infect our families. Keep the enemy from destroying our marriages, children, ministries, reputations, integrity, witness, churches, lives, and spiritual lives.
Though many around us fall away from You, WE CHOOSE THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. Teach us to abide in Your love so completely, the enemy cannot get anywhere near our homes. Any time he comes against us, O Most High, punish him. Destroy him so completely, we will see his downfall with our own eyes.
We choose to make You our Refuge, O Most High. You are our Dwelling Place.
Guide us in every situation, Lord. May Your ways be our ways. Don’t let evil take us down. Don’t let Satan scourge us with the whip of suffering. Command Your angels to guard over us and our children in all Your ways.
Lift us up out of the difficulties we face. Carry us in Your arms and keep us safe. Don’t let us trip up or fall because of some block the enemy puts in our path. But destroy every enemy scheme. Use us any way You desire to trample the enemy underfoot, and crush the head of that prowling lion, that snake, who seeks to devour Your children.
We love You, O Lord, with all our hearts. Your Name is above all names. Teach us to rest in Your character, to know all Your names so intimately, our own identity is hidden in Your greatness, love, and mercy.
Deliver us from evil, and protect our families completely. When we call out to You, O Lord, answer us. Be with us in times of trouble, and honor our requests. Rescue us, and bestow upon us and our children LIFE — a long, fruitful life here on earth enjoying Your love and serving You, and eternal life with You in Heaven.
Rescue us, O Lord. Satisfy us with Your love, so we will not be distracted by earthly things. And show us Your salvation. Every moment. Of every day. Let us never lose sight of who we are in You.
