THAILAND and CAMBODIA have agreed to a ceasefire after weeks of deadly border clashes.
Thank You, Lord, for this peace agreement. Please give those in power the wisdom to keep their truce and protect their people from harm. Break the chains that bind soldiers and citizens on both sides to Buddhism, evil spirits and idol worship, and open their eyes to see You alone are God. Heal those who are wounded. Rescue those in danger. Comfort those who mourn. Bring hope to the hopeless. Save the lost. Only Your love can bring true peace.
A car bomb exploded in Moscow, RUSSIA, killing a general, followed by another blast Wednesday, which killed two police officers. Russian attacks on Odesa’s infrastructure have left much of UKRAINE without heat, power or water, injured dozens and killed at least eight. Then last night, Russia launched a major attack on Kyiv, killing eight more Ukrainians just before a planned meeting today between President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump to discuss a 20-point peace plan to end the war.
Lord, please have mercy on both Russia and Ukraine. In the midst of fear and panic in Moscow, Kyiv, Odesa and on every battlefront, shine Your love and show the lost Your salvation. Crumble President Vladimir Putin’s mindset of violence and control, and make the way for this war to end soon. Give presidents Zelensky and Trump wisdom and unity as they talk through this peace plan, and bring forth Your good purposes. Give courage, strength and wisdom to Ukrainians fighting for their homeland. Bring warmth to those who are freezing. Protect those in danger. Comfort those who mourn. Heal those who are wounded. Rescue those who are trapped. Reunite families. And do it in such a way all will know You are the One who did that, the One who raided this world with love, turning back the darkness for all time. Raise temperatures, provide for those in need, turn on the lights, and make warmth and shelter available to every person. Prompt caring Christians to share their provisions and Your love with those in need, and bless them abundantly as they do. Multiply their stores of food and water, blankets, clothes, medicines and more. Shine through them such joy, peace, love and hope that the lost are drawn into Your warm embrace.
The first phase of the ceasefire between ISRAEL and GAZA is somewhat holding, despite occasional clashes. The IDF has receded behind a new border line. One deceased hostage‘s body has yet to be returned. Meanwhile, strikes against Hezbollah in LEBANON continue. In northern Israel, a Palestinian from the West Bank ran over Shimshon Mordechai in Beit She’an with his car, then stabbed a teen girl, Aviv Maor, and injured a teen boy near kibbutz Ein Harod.
Lord, thank You for the progress made in peace after such terrible violence. Please meet every Jew and Muslim in powerful ways. Show them Your glory. Topple every lie with Your truth, and show them Christ is their only way to salvation. Heal Shimshon, Aviv and others who are injured, and cast out every fear with Your love. Make the way for every citizen, soldier and terrorist to hear Your good news, understand and be saved. Still so many are starving in Gaza. Bring them food and water, but also Your gospel. Give them dreams and visions of Jesus, and lift the veil from their eyes so they will see You as You truly are..
Make the light of Your glory rise over Ukraine, Russia, Cambodia, Thailand, Israel, Gaza, Lebanon and beyond, awakening them to the One who is Life. Make the trials they have endured into a pathway to salvation for the lost. Touch every heart in such deep ways they cannot resist the allure of Your love. Hope to the hopeless. Strength to the weak. Father to the orphans. Healer to the broken. Victory and courage to the downtrodden. You are the One they have longed for, O Jesus. Turn them in Your directions now. Pierce though their darkness with Your light. Give them such a hunger for You they will seek You with all their heart and find You. Don’t let even one more Ukrainian, Russian, Cambodian, Thai, Israeli or Muslim die without knowing the good news of Jesus’ sacrifice and Your invitation to salvation and eternal life. What You have already begun in every heart, O Lord, bring it to completion. In Your precious name, Jesus. Amen.
