NIGERIA: In cooperation with the Nigerian government, the US launched airstrikes targeting Islamic State militants in Sokoto state on Christmas Day, which was marked last year by the mass murder of 33 Christians in Benue state and 160 in Plateau state the year before.
TURKEY: On Thursday and Friday, authorities detained 115 suspected IS terrorists planning attacks during Christmas and New Year’s celebrations, including Ibrahim Burtakucin.
USA: Praise God, terrorist attacks planned for New Year’s Eve in New Orleans and Los Angeles were foiled by the FBI. Micah James Legnon, who was arrested for the Louisiana attack, had been in contact with the four suspects now in custody for the California attack, Audrey Illeene Carroll, Zachary Aaron Page, Dante James Anthony-Gaffield and Tina Lai. All are tied to the far-left terrorist organization Turtle Island Liberation Front (TILF).
SYRIA: Security forces launched strikes against IS in Damascus, killing a commander and capturing leader Taha al-Zoubi.
Lord, thank You for blocking terrorist attacks in each of these countries. Please give leaders wisdom in foiling future attacks, as well. Expose every violent criminal to authorities who care about the safety of their country’s citizens and will arrest and bring to justice those bent on such horrific evil. Reveal Your truth, power, love and glory to Ibrahim, Micah, Audrey, Zachary, Dante, Tina, Taha and the hundreds who have been arrested in recent days across the world. Meet them in their dreams, through Your Word and any way You desire to show them the way to salvation. Do the same, Lord, for every terrorist not yet captured. Give them such a hunger for Truth, they will seek You with all their heart and find Jesus. Break the chains that have bound them to the evil one. Make them drop their false religion of violence and fall to their knees, trembling in fear of the Lord. Then grant Your glorious grace and salvation to those who repent and turn to Christ in faith. In Jesus’ name. Amen
