As 2025 comes to a close, take some time to get alone with Jesus and reflect on what He has done this past year. Then ask Him what He wants to do this coming year.
As hard as 2025 has been, 2026 will see its own trials. We have a real enemy, and he doesn’t stop pursuing us just because it’s a new year. In order to triumph over Satan’s schemes, we must draw near to God.
Surrender to God! Resist the devil, and he will run from you. Come near to God, and He will come near to you.
James 4:7-8 CEV
Don’t let circumstances dictate how you feel and respond. Only Jesus. Before the new year begins, spend some time praying forward into 2026, asking the Lord what He wants to say and do, so you can step out in His plans for your new year.
Surrender to God is your path to a God-empowered, Love-filled year, no matter what comes.

Lord, I choose to lay my times in Your hands. What do You want to say over my 2026? Is there some special way You want to use me? Is there anything I’ve been doing You’re asking me to stop or change? Is there something You’ve asked me to do I’m not doing yet? Whatever I’ve been focusing on that has taken me farther from You, I lay that down now. Draw me near and give me strength to overcome the enemy. James 4:7-8, Ephesians 6:10-18. Only by Your mighty power will I stand. Overwhelm me with Your love and peace. Overcome my purposes with Yours. Rise up within me and make me more than a conqueror. Whatever this coming year holds, hold my every moment in Your hands, Lord. I surrender to You.
