Praying forward into 2026, 39 members of Congress — 8 senators and 31 U.S. representatives — announced they will not seek re-election.
Lord, please guide every voter in the direction You choose. Put into place each person You have planned for each of these positions, and bring forth the legislation You desire. Guide candidates, voters and leaders already in office to lay down their agendas and seek Yours. Wherever there is corruption and evil, tear it down. Give every leader both running for and already in office godly wisdom, integrity, and courage to do what is truly right so they will hate what is evil and guard what is good. Transform their hearts and mind to follow Yours. Give every voter, candidate and present leader such powerful encounters with You and Your Word that they will not be able to deny You alone are God. Press fear of the Lord into every heart and a longing to partake in the blessings of Your grace. Make the way for the lost to hear Your good news in a way they will easily understand and accept. Pour out Your Spirit and love on every heart in this nation, breaking chains that bind us to enemy purposes and opening the hearts of the lost to hunger for Christ. Bring forth a great awakening in every city, government office, law enforcement agency, place of business, church, school, media platform and home, with millions turning to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
