Heavy rains and flash floods in Poza Rica, MEXICO, damaged about 100,000 homes, killed at least 64 people and left 65 or more missing, while 10,000 troops work alongside civilians in rescue efforts.
Floods and hurricane-force winds of Typhoon Halong in western Alaska, USA, on Monday left one dead and two missing. Some 51 were rescued.
A deadly nor’easter brought heavy rains and coastal flooding to the US east coast over the weekend. Three people died.
Colorado, California, Arizona in the US are also dealing with floods, as is SPAIN‘s Catalonia region.
Loving Father, please rescue those who are trapped, in danger or missing. Heal those who are injured, comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and rebuild the lives and homes of those who have lost so much. Speak to those who fear for the future, and show them Your plan for their salvation. Do all these things in such a way that they will know You are the One who did that. When they cry out to You, answer them. Protect the children, heal hurting hearts and provide safe shelter, electricity, food and water for those without. Place within every soul a deep thirst for You. Remove every barrier that has kept them from salvation and give them courage to choose You as their Lord. Bring loving Christians to them to share Your Good News. For Christians who are homeless now or who have lost loved ones, please carry them through this difficult time like only You can. Renew their strength and empower them to encourage others around them who are also hurting, offering them hope, a safe shoulder to cry on, and the way to salvation. Bless Christians so abundantly they will also abundantly bless others in need, as they share Your good news with the lost. Bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit all across each of these areas affected by floods, heat and fire, leading thousands to faith in You. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to see You as You truly are, and awaken every heart to Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
