VIETNAM and THAILAND: After lashing CHINA‘s Hainan Island and Guangdong province, Typhoon Kajiki brought heavy rain, flooding and landslides to northern and central Vietnam, injuring more than 34 and killing at least seven. One person also died in a landslide in Chiangmai, Thailand. Hundreds of thousands have been evacuated. Lord, please rescue those who are missing, comfort those dealing with great loss, and provide for those in need. Bring Christians to them to share with them the good news of Your salvation and to show them Your love. Make a way for every injured and grieving person to hear the gospel in a way they can easily understand, and give them such a hunger for You, they will surrender to Your love and be saved.
KENYA: Reports of missing children prompted a search and subsequent discovery of at least nine graves believed to be tied to a starvation cult led by Paul Mackenzie, arrested last year for his teachings that led to more than 400 deaths. Officials have arrested 11 people so far who appear to have kept the cult active since Paul’s imprisonment. Lord, please convict Paul and his followers of their sin in such devastating ways they will fall to their knees in repentance and choose to follow You. Comfort those who mourn and provide the way of escape for victims and potential victims. Bring Your pure gospel to every person involved, and move their hearts to receive the Truth and be saved. We speak LIFE over the children and over the lost and dying of Kenya now, in the name of Jesus.
USA: A fire near Sisters, Oregon has consumed more than 21,971 acres, another in northwestern Colorado has burned 138,844 acres, and several fires in California, have led to thousands of evacuations. Lord, please have mercy. Bring these fires under control. Protect those who are in harm’s way, and turn all eyes to You to be saved.
CHINA: The collapse of a railway bridge under construction over a river in Qinghai province Friday led to the deaths of 12 construction workers. Four are still missing. Lord, please comfort those who mourn. Give them a hunger to know the Living God, to seek Hope, Peace and Salvation in the midst of such tragedy. Then make the way for them to hear Your good news in a way they can easily understand and be saved.
