In southwestern CHINA, more than 25 rivers have overflowed and about 10,000 people have been evacuated from cities in Sichuan and Yunnan. Heavy rains have also pelted Beijing.
About 37 people have died and over 100 have been injured in clashes between the Druze religious minority and Sunni Bedouin clans in Sweida province, SYRIA, following escalating kidnappings and robberies between the two religious groups.
Nearly 20 civilians died and more than 30 others were injured in recent Rapid Support Forces (RSF) attacks in North Kordofan State, SUDAN. RSF’s civil war with the Sudanese military has killed more than 40,000 people since 2023.
About 1.6 million refugees have returned to AFGHANISTAN from IRAN and PAKISTAN in recent months, and as many as 3-4 million are expected to repatriate by the end of this year. Pushed out of the countries where they sought refuge from the Taliban, tens of thousands have been crossing the border daily and arriving exhausted and in need.
After an elderly man was attacked last week in Torre-Pacheco, SPAIN, far-right groups, migrants carrying MOROCCO’s flag, and local residents clashed on Saturday. Several were injured and at least eight were arrested.
A fire at an assisted living facility in Fall River, Massachusetts, USA, Sunday killed nine and injured dozens.
Loving Father, please rescue those who are trapped, in danger or missing. Heal those who are injured, comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and rebuild the lives and homes of those who have lost so much. In the midst of terror, bring peace through Your love. Speak to those who fear for the future, and show them Your plan for their salvation. Do all these things in such a way that they will know You are the One who did that. When they cry out to You, answer them. Protect the children, feed the hungry, heal hurting hearts and provide safe shelter, electricity, food and water for those without. Place within every soul a deep thirst for You. Remove every barrier that has kept them from salvation and give them courage to choose You as their Lord. Bring loving Christians to them to share Your Good News. For Christians who are homeless now or who have lost loved ones, please carry them through this difficult time like only You can. Renew their strength and empower them to encourage others around them who are also hurting, offering them hope, a safe shoulder to cry on, and the way to salvation. Bless Christians so abundantly they will also abundantly bless others in need, as they share Your good news with the lost. Bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit all across each of these areas, leading thousands to faith in You. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to see You as You truly are, and awaken every heart to Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
