RUSSIA has been assaulting UKRAINE with droves of drones and missiles nearly daily. Thursday night, they showered Kyiv with hundreds of air strikes. Ukraine disabled most of them. On Tuesday night, Russia fired more than 720 drones and 13 missiles on Ukraine. This largest assault to date since the war began three years ago followed a massive, seven-hour assault on Kyiv July 4, which followed another on June 28 of nearly 480 drones and 60 missiles.
At least 31 died and another 107 were wounded in Monday’s “seven-seven” anti-government protests in KENYA, which resulted in widespread vandalism and 500 arrests. A total of at least 50 have died in the last two weeks.
Four sailors died, ten were rescued and others were abducted by Muslim Houthis from YEMEN, who spent several days attacking a LIBERIAN-flagged, GREEK-owned cargo ship in the Red Sea carrying 25 people aboard. The incident followed Sunday’s grenade attack by Houthis on a similar vessel, which they set ablaze, forcing crew members into the sea.
Of the 50 hostages from ISRAEL still in GAZA, 28 have been confirmed dead. Hamas has agreed to release 10 hostages in hopes of a ceasefire agreement. More than 57,000 Gazans have died since Hamas began the war on October 7, 2023.
Loving Father, please bring an end to conflict and war. Give leaders in these nations wisdom and courage to do what is right and stop the violence, destruction and oppression. Rescue those who are trapped, in danger or missing. Heal those who are injured, comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and rebuild the lives and homes of those who have lost so much. In the midst of terror, bring peace through Your love. Speak to those who fear for the future, and show them Your plan for their salvation. Do all these things in such a way that they will know You are the One who did that. When they cry out to You, answer them. Protect the children, heal hurting hearts and provide safe shelter, electricity, food and water for those without. Place within every soul a deep thirst for You. Remove every barrier that has kept them from salvation and give them courage to choose You as their Lord. Bring loving Christians to them to share Your Good News. For Christians who are homeless now or who have lost loved ones, please carry them through this difficult time like only You can. Renew their strength and empower them to encourage others around them who are also hurting, offering them hope, a safe shoulder to cry on, and the way to salvation. Bless Christians so abundantly they will also abundantly bless others in need, as they share Your good news with the lost. Bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit all across each of these areas affected by war and unrest, leading thousands to faith in You. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to see You as You truly are, and awaken every heart to Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
