INDIA: At least 72 have died in Himachal Pradesh due to monsoon rains over the last two weeks.

USA: Rescuers continue to search for dozens missing after this weekend’s flash floods in Texas that killed more than 80. Tropical depression Chantel flooded areas of North Carolina over the weekend. Deadly storms last week hit parts of Connecticut, and killed three around Plainfield, New Jersey.

INDONESIA: At least 6 died and dozens are missing, after a ferry carrying 65 sank near Bali.

GAZA: As peace talks draw near, dozens of Palestinians have died in Israeli air strikes, and two U.S. aid workers were killed in a Hamas attack while distributing food to starving Gazans.

JAPAN: Nearly 1,000 earthquakes have rocked the Tokara Islands over the past two weeks, causing panic and evacuations among the 700 or so residents.

Loving Father, please rescue those who are trapped, in danger or missing. Heal those who are injured, comfort those who mourn, provide for those in need, and rebuild the lives and homes of those who have lost so much. In the midst of terror, bring peace through Your love. Speak to those who fear for the future, and show them Your plan for their salvation. Do all these things in such a way that they will know You are the One who did that. When they cry out to You, answer them. Protect the children, feed the hungry, heal hurting hearts and provide safe shelter, electricity, food and water for those without. Place within every soul a deep thirst for You. Remove every barrier that has kept them from salvation and give them courage to choose You as their Lord. Bring loving Christians to them to share Your Good News. For Christians who are homeless now or who have lost loved ones, please carry them through this difficult time like only You can. Renew their strength and empower them to encourage others around them who are also hurting, offering them hope, a safe shoulder to cry on, and the way to salvation. Bless Christians so abundantly they will also abundantly bless others in need, as they share Your good news with the lost. Bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit all across each of these areas affected by floods, leading thousands to faith in You. Open the eyes of the spiritually blind to see You as You truly are, and awaken every heart to Your love. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
