July 4 will mark five years since we opened the Prayer Wall to pray for our nation and for the world in the midst of these trying times. Thank you to all of you from the nearly 120 countries who have joined us here. Would you take a moment to share in the comments what this prayer space has meant to you?
For me, I would have to say the answers to prayer and miracles have been what have blessed me most, as well as the joy of sharing the good news with people from countries closed off to the gospel who come here to the Prayer Wall looking for answers, and the privilege of joining together with all of you in what God’s doing around the world and in our homes. I’m also so grateful for those who have encouraged me along this journey.
Just before the Prayer Wall began in 2020, the Lord gave me a dream that the US government was trashed and unprotected. He called us to drive the prayers of the saints over the mess and into the structure itself, so laws could be made to effect change. Two year later, I dreamed we were inside surveying the emptiness and taking notes on what was missing.
Now, praise God, in the past few months, He has answered many of our prayers in vast ways. Lies exposed. Corrupt leaders fallen and replaced. Evil agendas in schools turned back. Just laws upheld. Unjust rulings overturned. Trafficking blocked. Children rescued. God-given genders upheld. Life for the unborn. Christians in positions of influence. Criminals arrested. Corruption routed out. Terrorism blocked. Wisdom. Lives saved. Lawbreakers found. Protections for our children’s health and sexual well-being. And other things now in the works that could become reality very soon. Across the world, He has also done so many beautiful things in answer to our prayers, even miracles.
Our prayers matter!
Pray for God to protect and complete every good work He has started. Many of the situations mentioned above are only partially complete. Our government is made of people, as is our country. So, for true and lasting change to happen, it must begin in our hearts.
Many of the people involved in the changes God is doing, both those who pushed for evil agendas and those now working for the good of this country. still don’t know the Lord personally. Let’s pray for their salvation.
Pray by name for leaders in the present administration, that the lost will surrender to Jesus, and all will seek the Lord, listen to His leading and follow Him. But also pray for those in the last administration and other influencers who are yet unsaved.
Pray for our churches and for every Christian, that we will lay down our idols and put Jesus first in our lives. Pray for a Great Awakening in this country. That God will pour out His love on us, renew our passion for Him, and use us to bring millions to faith in Jesus.
Press onward, mighty soldiers of the cross.
Gracious Father, we ask You now to please come and bust through the emptiness and chaos in the hearts of every leader and citizen in this nation, and bring forth peace and order. Call us to Yourself in such personal, powerful ways, we cannot resist You.
Raise up leaders who love You with all their hearts and listen to Your lead. Raise up prayer warriors who will pray for those leaders, and Christian advisors who will pray with our leaders, seeking You for Your guidance as they make decisions.
Pursue every leader and their staff relentlessly with Your love and grace. Set them free from the chains that have bound them to enemy purposes, and open their hearts and minds wide to choose You as their Savior and Lord.
Bring Christians to them they respect and look up to, who will share Your good news in a way that reaches deep into their hearts and touches them in those empty spaces that long for meaning, worth and guidance. Show them You are the One they’ve been looking for, that only in You and through You will they have true power and wisdom.
Heal our country, O Lord. Heal every heart. Heal our judicial system, our prison system, our education system, and every area that has been broken apart by selfish, ungodly and evil agendas.
Mend breaches, where arguments have blocked us from moving forward in the things of Your heart. Change minds so that those without consciences will gain one and seek to do what is right and stop what is wrong.
Place bridges in every argument where they can meet and agree, so that important laws, reforms and protections can move into place to bless citizens and make this a safe place for our children’s children for generations to come.
Reach into every heart and turn our eyes to You. Convict us of our sin and move us to make right decisions that help our neighbors and to vote for candidates who truly can make a positive difference in this country.
Destroy every narrative fed by lies to lead people away from truth and to coax them into making bad decisions. Transform every heart and mind until our thoughts and ways are Yours. Isaiah 55:6-9. Make us hunger for You, turn to You, trust in You as our Sovereign, and come back under Your protection.
For only united in You are we indivisible. And only in You is there true liberty. Only trusting in the Just One and handing every matter over to You is there true justice for all. Only in Christ are we free.
Awaken this nation to Your love. Lift us up from out of the graves we’ve made for ourselves and give to us new LIFE.
