CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC: An electrical malfunction caused an explosion, which triggered a stampede at a high school in Bangui Wednesday, where about 5,000 were taking exams. At least 29 children died and more than 250 were injured.
IRAN executed three Kurds shortly after last Monday’s ceasefire, claiming they spied for Mossad (Israeli intelligence). This brings executions up to six, with more than 700 arrests, since the 12-day war with Israel damaged much of the country’s infrastructure, leaving more than 900 dead and nearly 5,000 wounded. Iran killed 28 in ISRAEL in retaliatory strikes before the ceasefire.
GAZA, ISRAEL, LEBANON: An estimated 500 Palestinians seeking aid were killed this month, and over 4,000 have been injured. Seven Israeli soldiers died Tuesday, when a Palestinian attached a bomb to their armored vehicle in Gaza. The IDF killed three, including a Hezbollah commander, in southern Lebanon Saturday, and an attack in northern Gaza killed one of the founders of Hamas.
UKRAINE: RUSSIA, with the aid of NORTH KOREA, has amassed 111,000 troops for an assault on Pokrovsk.
NIGERIA: At least ten people died and several others were injured after a suicide bombing in a restaurant in Borno state last weekend.
PAKISTAN: Saturday, 16 soldiers died and dozens of people were wounded when a suicide bomber rammed a vehicle filled with explosives into a military convoy at a market in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
NIGER: More than 200 gunmen on motorbikes attacked an army base near the border with MALI and killed 34 soldiers June 19.
KENYA: At least 16 have died and about 400 are wounded after thousands of youth protested against the government Wednesday, a year after last year’s protests that also cost many lives.
THAILAND, SERBIA, TOGO: Thousands have taken to the streets in these countries in protest against the government. Seven died in Togo.
Lord, please have mercy on the survivors and their families in each of these situations. Calm their fears, heal their wounds, comfort those who mourn, and bring Christians to them to show them Your love and help them to healing. Make the way for every person affected by these tragedies to hear Your good news and be saved. Speak to them throughout the day, give them dreams at night that point them to Jesus, and open their hearts wide to receive You as Savior. Perform miracles and signs and wonders to turn every heart to You. Please especially conquer the hearts of murderers and terrorists with Your forgiveness and love. Sweep in with demonstrations of Your holiness and bring them to their knees in repentance and surrender. Wherever Islamic ideals have sparked violence and murder, change their hearts and give every Muslim a longing for the God of Love, the One who sent His Son to die for their sin. We ask You, Father, for a great awakening in Pakistan, Nigeria, Gaza, Israel, Iran, Lebanon, Kenya, Ukraine, Russia, North Korea, Central African Republic, Niger, Mali and beyond. Fill the whole Earth with Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
