Floods and Wars

Flash floods killed 13 in San Antonio, Texas, last week, and at least 8 in West Virginia this week. Indiana, Pennsylvania and other states across the USA have also experienced flooding or are under flood watch.

Meanwhile, at least 14 have died in Bihar, INDIA, due to lightning, and Kent, ENGLAND reels from flash floods and more than 30,000 lightning strikes in one night, while SOUTH AFRICA continues to pick up the pieces as the death toll from last week’s flooding and snow has risen to 92.

Hurricane Erick reached a Category 4 today on MEXICO‘s Pacific coast.

Father God, please comfort those who mourn and care for those in need. Carry them through this hard time, and give wisdom to leaders, rescuers, medical workers and others who are aiding in relief. Heal those who are injured or sick. Rescue those who are trapped. When they cry out to You, answer them in mighty ways so they know it is You. Provide shelter, food and clean water for those who have been displaced. Bring Christians quickly to their aid to show them Your love, pray for healing, share the Good News and counsel those in distress. Deepen the faith of Christian flood victims and bless them so abundantly they will share of their provisions with others in need. Awaken the lost to Your salvation, and those who are saved to more and more of Your love flowing through them. Give every person affected by these floods a hunger and thirst for You. Awaken the USA, England, South Africa and all the world to Your love, O merciful God. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Death tolls climb amid decisions made by leaders in wars in IRAN, ISRAEL, GAZA, YEMEN (Houthis), as well as RUSSIA, UKRAINE, and also MYANMAR.

In addition, these African countries face conflict: DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), ETHIOPIA, SOMALIA, SOUTH SUDAN, SUDAN, CAMEROON, as well as BURKINA FASO, CENTRAL AFRICAN REPUBLIC, MALI, MOZAMBIQUE and NIGER.

Let’s pray!

Father God, please have mercy. So much violence, death and evil, and the majority of these millions affected do not know the One who is Life. Reveal Yourself to every heart that still beats before it is too late. Visit them in their dreams, appear to them in visions, guide those with internet access to Christian sites and bring loving Christians to the aid of those who are lost without Christ. You created us for the purpose of knowing You, experiencing Your great love for us and loving others through Your love in us. But the evil one has overrun so many nations with violence and death and darkness that Your light has been hidden from those in need. Expose Your glory now. Destroy every enemy plan for destruction, and rebuild lives and hearts on You as their foundation. When they cry out to You, hear their cries and answer. And for those who don’t know Your name and cannot cry to You, break down every wall that has blocked them from the good news that brings salvation. Make a way for Your gospel to reach into every unreached people group, every village, every home and every heart. Bring an end to the violence and bring forth a great awakening in every nation, with tens of thousands of hearts turning to You. Tear down false religion, and show the nations You alone are God. We speak LIFE now over the masses who have only known violence and death. We speak HEALING over those whose minds, hearts and bodies are now devastated. March in with Your armies, O God, and take back what the enemy has taken. Rescue from out of his grip thousands, even millions who hunger for Truth. Show them the way to salvation and save them. Bring an end to all the violence. Heal those who are broken in mind and in body. Comfort those who mourn. Meet every heart in such powerful ways they will awaken to Your love and know You alone are God.
