Deadly Headlines for Kashmir, China, Peru, USA

KASHMIR: Militants killed 26 civilians, mostly Hindus, in a tourist area of Pahalgam last month, raising tension between INDIA and PAKISTAN over this disputed region both claim is theirs. India has now retaliated with a series of missile strikes on dozens of terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Pakistan then shot down 3-5 Indian fighter planes. Lord, please comfort the families of those who died on both sides in a way they will know it is You. Open the doors for every Muslim and Hindu to hear Your good news and receive Your salvation. March in Your angel armies to bring peace, and give every heart such a hunger for Truth, they will cast down all their idols and disputes in search of this One life is for. Please stop this war before it gets out of hand, and awaken every heart in Kashmir, India, and Pakistan to Your love.

USA: Near San Diego, California, a migrant boat capsized Monday, killing three and injuring seven, with one ten-year-old girl still missing. Also on Monday, eight people died in a head-on collision between two cars outside of Greeley, Kansas. On Friday, just outside Yellowstone State Park, a pickup truck and a tour van collided in Idaho, killing seven and injuring eight. Lord, please comfort those who mourn, rescue those who are missing, heal those who are wounded, and give every person affected by these tragedies a hunger for You. Bring Christians to them to show them Your love.

PERU: Gang members kidnapped 13 guards at a gold mine, threatened their families, and then murdered them in an effort to gain control. Peru has experienced a surge of violence this year in other areas, as well. Lord, please comfort each grieving heart and show them Your love and salvation. Give authorities wisdom to bring criminals to justice and eliminate the threat. Convict each gang member of their sin in such a way they turn from greed and violence to faith in You.

CHINA: At the end of May Day holiday celebrations, strong winds caused four boats in Qianxi, Guizhou Province, to capsize. Of the 84 people who fell into the water, 10 died and 70 were hospitalized. In Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, a sightseeing helicopter crashed in a park, killing one and injuring four. Lord, it is likely most of those who died never heard Your plan for their salvation. As loved ones grieve and survivors heal, give them a hunger for You. Meet each one in such powerful ways they will know it is You and surrender to Your love. Connect them with Christians who will share the good news with them in a way that is easy for them to understand. And save them, Lord. Awaken Guizhou, Jiangsu and all of China to Your love.

These wars continue: MYANMAR; SUDAN; HAITI; GAZA–YEMEN-ISRAEL; RUSSIA–UKRAINE. A US-Houthi (Yemen) ceasefire has now been called, but Houthis say they may or may not honor it. Lord, please bring an end to the violence. Heal the minds, hearts and bodies of all those affected, and bring a right and good end to all the evil the enemy has sown. Protect the innocent. Release the hostages. Feed the hungry. Give those in authority wisdom to do what is right and to influence others to also do what is right. Remove from power those ruled by hatred and greed, and especially those with addiction to kill. Awaken every heart in each of these countries with a longing for Your love. Bring Christians to them to share the gospel with them in a way they can easily understand. And bring forth a mighty movement of Your Spirit, with millions turning to faith in Christ.
