Sweden, DRC, Myanmar Headlines

ISRAEL: Three male hostages are set to be released by Hamas from GAZA tomorrow. Lord, please watch over negotiations and proceedings. Protect all hostages who are still alive and make the way for their safe return home. End the terrorism and violence. Watch over the innocent in both Israel and Gaza. Protect them from harm and provide for all their needs. Awaken Gaza, Israel and Hamas to Your love, peace and salvation. Make the way for every hostage, Palestinian, Israeli and terrorist to hear the good news in a way they can easily understand. Lift the veil from their eyes, so they can see You as You truly are and choose You as Savior.

SWEDEN: In a mass shooting at a school for adult education in Örebro Tuesday, at least 10 died, as well as the shooter, and six were injured. Loving Father, please heal the wounded and comfort those who mourn. Draw them up into Your arms and let them feel You near. When they cry out to You, hear them and answer. Save the lost and strengthen the faith of those who already know You. Awaken all of Sweden to You.

MYANMAR: The ruling junta has delayed elections six more months. (See our Myanmar page for more information on the war) In addition, they claim to have deported to CHINA more than 50,000 people suspected of involvement in scam networks over the last couple of years. (Crime syndicates stealing tens of billions of dollars from victims around the world set up operation within Myanmar’s borders, recruiting workers under false pretenses and then enslaving them to carry out their scams, such as false investment, romantic, or gambling schemes.) Neighboring countries have also stepped up efforts. On Wednesday, THAILAND cut power to several scam hubs in Myanmar. Lord, please give authorities wisdom in their efforts to shut down these scams. Protect and set free those who were abducted and forced into slave labor, and get them safely back home to their families. Make a way for every victim, criminal and slave to hear Your good news in a way they can easily understand and receive You as Savior. And please, Lord, end the war quickly and rightly in Myanmar. Shield the innocent. Give wisdom to those who fight against evil. Raise up leaders who love You and will open the way for Your good news to spread throughout the country. Awaken Myanmar to Your saving grace.

DRC: Some reports say as many as 167 female prisoners were raped and burned alive by male inmates, who set the prison on fire during a jailbreak last week in Goma. At least 2,900 people were killed when M23 rebel forces captured the city. Lord, please comfort those who mourn and heal those who are wounded. Wrap Your arms around the families grieving and traumatized right now. Come so close to them that they hear Your voice comforting them and feel Your strong hands lifting them up to carry them through. Tell them the good news that leads to salvation, and give them courage to believe. Please hold the ceasefire and stop the violence. Meet every terrorist, militant and criminal in such powerful ways they will lay down their weapons, fall to their knees in fear of the Lord and be saved. Awaken Congo to Your love.

USA: A plane carrying ten passengers is missing in Alaska. Lord, please guide rescuers to the plane. Protect any survivors, and meet them in powerful ways, drawing them to Yourself. Keep them warm and alive until rescue teams arrive.
